I figure double the dosage will work best for someone my size, since I'm about a pound under or a pound over 240 right now.

Yes, he is one I'm waiting on as well. I trust his opinion. Either way I haven't purchased and am still waiting for more test results.

    Random observation.

    In 15 days of taking 20mcg/day of IGF-1 your IGF-1 increased 235 ng/ml.

    235ng/ml is 235mcg/L.

The average human has 5 Liters of blood.

So your total circulating mass of IGF-1 increased by 1175mcg.

You consumed a total of 320mcg of IGF-1.

    --

Meanwhile in published human studies...such as this one:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3299085/

Humans received an injection of 100 micrograms per kilogram of bodyweight and after an hour their circulating IGF-1 had only increased 117 ng/ml

    --

I'm curious how once daily oral dosing of 20mcg of IGF-1, even if 100% bioavailable, would be responsible for an increase in total circulating IGF-1 of 3x as much as the total amount of IGF-1 consumed in that period.

Wouldn't factors such as lifting and even drinking whey increase natural levels of IGF-1?

    Sure would.

I'm not seeing why bio available oral consumption of IGF-1 would positively impact the positive effect of lifting/protein consumption on serum IGF-1 by 3-fold the total amount of IGF-1 consumed vs. lifting/protein consumption alone.

For all the hate and trolling the guy caused, I really did like his presence in the online fitness community.

    A really sad loss.

His YouTube videos were a 'must-watch' for me daily at work. Partly because I was curious (the guy did live a very entertaining life) part of me was I liked some of his theories and beliefs (on lifting and nutrition) and the other part of me was I was just simply entertained. Sure I could have done without the constant swearing, sure I believe he had enhancements done to some of his body parts (hair plugs, synthol, etc.) but I didn't care. I was entertained.

And some of these guys today could learn a thing or two from that. I watched a video the other day of another IFBB Pro (I believe it was Flex Wheeler or Dexter Jackson) and I watched about 6 minutes of it and I turned it off. Dude had a personality of the mouse I'm using on my computer right now as I type this. And that's a shame, because seeing a "sneak peak" into their lives is something we all love to see.

He will be missed, that's for sure

Saw this as well. Kind of disappointing, the product does seem to be doing something for me though so I'm interested in seeing more blood work. I physically appear leaner without changing my diet up.

I would ask you what you think of IGF-1 in general including IV administration but personally, I don't think there are any available sources for getting actual compound anywhere tbh so effectively comparing the IV IGF-1 people use and the HTP product could be the equivalent of comparing placebo with placebo for all I know :P

Like I said before, I think the answer lies somewhere in between (with the bloodwork we are starting to see). With the product literally only being out about 4-5 weeks right now, it's really hard to get a true reading on it's effectiveness. I'm only stating what I'm seeing so far, but as more bloodwork comes in we should start to get a much better understanding.

But at least we can say this ... it's SOMETHING new and revolutionary for once (and I applaud Hi-Tech for that). But I know I know, it's not some new pre-workout (that's very similar to the 191,263 others on the market) so why would we get excited

Anyone in the 'know' have an answer for this? Been trying to research IGF-1 and caffeine but haven't seen much reason for Hi-Tech's disclosure on avoiding caffeine products. This first week of IGF-1 I'm missing my PWO alot LOL. CRAZY dreams all night last night, and it does seem a little easier to wake in the morning. Past that, nothing else to report 🙁

Interesting to be sure. It's odd your IGF-1 would be that low to begin with. It does fluctuate quite a bit depending on a wide number of variables, and peptide hormones poorly absorbed. So, per usual, only way to know if your response is from that product, is for the company to fund a legit study that control the variables. etc. Even though a study finding X product does have an effect and is $ in the bank, few companies willing to step up to the plate. I have set up studies for companies who did fund studies, and it's always worth it if the product has an effect above placebo.
