another ****ed up day at work. this cocky guy keeps picking a fight with me, i literally didn't even do anything. he's like mocking me for some reason. i'm so used to dealing with people it sort of just bounces off though until i get home and have nothing to do but think about it.

Already did. I had serious low self-esteem but I hated my job and consequently my life. I know I needed to learn how to do something new.

My intent was to just go to tech school and just learn an art. Turned out it was just what the doctor order and I love it. Flew through it so fast I decided to try cc.

Started with just two classes just to test the waters and see if I could handle it. Next semester went FT. The rest is history. Not that there weren't challenges and obstacles along the way. There were many. It depends on the level. Typically about 4 hours/wk. divided by the number of days you attend.

thanks im thinking about tech school... the thing is i have to move provinces to get a bachelors out of it though. not to mention school days will be 8 hours a day.

I'm going to hold you to that. I didn't move forward until I made it my #1 priority. That meant I had to give up everything. That move didn't put me on top, but I'm a whole lot further ahead than I was before just spinning my wheels and being unhappy.

If I had it all to do all again I'd do the same thing only a whole lot sooner. I promise you you can do this, just believe in yourself. We'll be watching.

Hank Voight is what made the show so damn good. Now I have no incentive to watch the show and it fukking hurts! I don't know how I can go on.

Thanks, brah. Yep, I turned 25! Gonna sound odd, but it makes me feel a bit old in a strange way - I guess I just expected to be in a better position by this point in my life. This is the first birthday without my mom as well, so it feels extra f*cking ****ty. But I'm trying not to think about that too much.

i feel like some of you need to save 6-7k and just say **** it and go backpack in ASIA fro 3-4 months have a blast but also put your own life in perspective,you ****ers have it good in the ol USA,east asia is super cheap Vietnam or Thialand is super fun and people are friendly

funny you say that, I’ve been really considering to go travel to Asia or Europe, but only for a weekend of 3-4 days, srs. Or maybe spring break, 5-6 days. i currently have enough to go for a couple of days, just for some fun at least. Looking to get out of my slump. Maybe in summer I’ll go for a longer amount of time, as I get 2 months off school then. Where do you recommend I go for spring break or a 3-4 day weekend, alone? Already been to Mexico and Vegas countless times :/ Florida maybe? I’m in SoCal

highly recommend japan, even for a week, it'll change your world somewhat. for me it was like, "hope in humanity restored." sort of thing

i've never been so free and peaceful in my mind during the time i spent in japan. i've never felt so welcomed and part of a society anywhere else on the planet, even in the phillippines i wasn't really welcomed nor did i feel like i fit in, and i'm filipino.

that's not true. everyone comes here to make money, but they ****ing hate life here. it's hell compared to asia. even refugees from middle east prefer back home, it's just the war that's ****ed up there.

the reason why people come here is to make money or for their kids to have a good education and future, but overall quality of life, aside from work and income aspects, is much worse in our western society.

Hey man I been there, with the stakes high as possible since we'd been talking for weeks if not months before we met and I already liked her

You gotta plow through the day as normal as possible. Your heart is gonna be fluttering all day with anxiety but just get your workout done and keep it together with your day to day tasks. There's some evidence on the breathing and posing/posturing keeping your anxiety under control. When you feel threatened (what anxiety is at the primal core of it) you want to curl up small and make yourself small, but if you make yourself big despite the chit feeling it works the other way and takes some of that anxiety away (look up "superman pose anxiety"/power pose). Anxiety also is fast heartbeats and quickened breathing, again do the opposite, nice big deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth will slow your heart rate and calm you down. In the mirror before you go puff that chest out and act like you the man, fcking pound that chest like a gorilla if that's what you gotta do lmao, in the car ride over there before you pick her up have your arm over the passenger seat deep breaths music on that pumps you up, same with the breathing, find yourself a public bathroom near her place pat the sweat off yourself, put some deoderant on do the same chit you were doing at home you'll feel fcking silly but whatever works

Keep that anxiety under control, give it your best go by the time you actually meet her it'll go fine and you'll be thinking "shiet man I was worried all day for nothing"... you got this bro

i'm also saving up for SE Asia in the summer but I'd recommend a weekend trip to Miami. I've never felt so alive and chill and had so much fun. Beautiful place, beautiful girls, laidback people, amazing night life

I've been applying for jobs b/c if i dont' have a paycheck within a week or so i don't think i can pay rent and bills. But did the final leg for interviewing with this one company who supposedly loves me on Thursday morning, praying to god they get back to me by Monday and I can work at least 1 day next week (asking for weekly Friday invoices as part of my policy) and receive enough money to pay some bills and stay afloat

Had a pretty bad Friday/Saturday with a few things going wrong and screwing me. I need to keep focused and determined moving ahead. Getting back into the gym has really been helping. I actually feel proud of myself, two consecutive weeks now where I have made my goal in steps achieved - which on my bad knee is actually a huge accomplishment and I'm already breezing through my gym sessions without any major issues (Maybe bar a break to rest my knee). Shows how far it's come from six months ago where I could barely walk, till now.

Hope everyone else is okay and trying to make the best out of everything.

Anyone else live in a ****ty dark climate? Seattle winter is about the worst place in the lower 48 for anyone with an inclination toward depression (you might be alright if you like living in large cities tho). The sun came out today and my hope for life went from 0 to maybe a 4.

It all snowballs. Gotta take the little bit of hope and turn it into happiness.

but while i'm waiting going to crunch out and submit the first half of my unfinished late homework. gotta keep focused on finishing up my degree and righting past wrongs. it' not too late. i'm good in 1 class, will be good if i work all day today for another, and can make it up in the last class if i do the next assignment and submit my late one with it and am nice and explain my issues to the prof

Some asshat threw a rock at my car this weekend, put a stone chip in it. Was hoping it would just be a repairable chip without the need to replace the windshield. Woke-up this morning to the crack spidering out like crazy already and runs to the edge. Need a new windshield, $410. Seem I'm stuck between getting a break and chit going wrong. Either way, only a car and such is life.

I just got back from a massage and gym session. Decided to treat myself to a massage and use the time to unwind and relax. Worth it. Also spent some time in the steam room after my gym session, that was nice too. Now time for work and studies, gonna be a late one...

Yeah, it's just super frustrating, I won't lie. The study session was good. I'm only part-time this semester but I'm on track to get two A's this semester, so I'm feeling pretty good abut that. Also using the time just to further my knowledge in general and really gear up for my next step of classes. I have the time, so why not.

I've been clashing with my dad and step-mom a lot more lately which is annoying. After many yeas living overseas, they are finally making the trip over to see me and the drama has already started.
