Though lately i've been listening to angry music and embracing the fog lol. but do as I say not as I do

So you enjoy being solemn? If that's the case then nobody can help you. Things will never change and you will never get better unless YOU make the first step towards that change and improving your life.
I think that's the problem with a lot of posters here. You're waiting for some type of power to come into your lives and make everything well, but it doesn't work that way. You can't say you're hungry and then say you don't feel like working. If you don't first work, you don't eat.🎥

Exactly.
Truth is life is hard. If it was all peaches and cream this would be heaven. It isn't.
You want something you've got to put all your energy into getting it. Also, it also takes time. You didn't become depressed in one-day you are not going to get out of depression in one-day either. You've got to be patient and do the best you can TODAY. That means not staying in bed, not wallowing in self-pity, not putting off working out, not putting off things that need to get done, not waiting to ask that girl out, not waiting to start that business you always wanted to, etc...
Get up go out and live life to the fullest. You only get one. You've got to make the best of it.
Yes you can!! All you have to do is Google 'How I Beat My Anxiety' and you will see thousands of stories of people who had bad issues w anxiety and beat it.
Stop with the 'I can't' posts man. There are plenty of people who have been in horrific situations have turned their life around.
Once again you can't get help until you start believing in yourself. Start with small goals that you know you can accomplish to build self-confidence and take it from there. Not to be rude but if you are going to constantly post 'I can't I can't I can't' then is there nothing anyone will be able to do for you. You've got to at least try. If you try and then fail OK but if you aren't even trying then it's a waste of time to ask for help.Last edited by DefensiveEnd896; 01-09-2018 at 03:23 PM.

i keep telling myself to go to college fukk but its so hard to start. there's so many options. online or local, or this school or that school. and then when i apply and finally start its gonna be having to deal with young immature classmates.
plus they make college so hard to understand. like what is a credit, what is a minor and major, how do the hours work, how do you actually get a degree, can i get a degree doing 1 class a month or something, etc etc. just make it fukin simple jesus christ. fukin academics always gotta complicate chit. so confusing and some of the programs are ****in retarded. if ur taking computer science why the fuk do u have to take english

yeah idk i don't want to do part-time because yeah like you say it'll take me forever. i really want to get it over with. i'm considering applying to the university of london online because it's 3 years instead of 4. (we don't have 3 year degree programs in canada.) but idk how "valid" it would be in the job market.
like pros of university of london online, the tuition is more than half the price of regular degree programs, i can still work, i can go fast, it seems to be just focused on the specific program of interest instead of having electives. the con seems to be that i don't meet anyone, and i have to be on the computer all the time; but i'm always on the computer anyways.Last edited by 2RDEYE; 01-09-2018 at 08:08 PM.

Yeah he's right. How do you expect to get anywhere in life if you won't even try to make something happen for yourself? Instead of crying and whining in this thread, why don't you take our advice and get up and do something to improve upon yourself as a person and make the life that you truly want to live? Make something happen!

I've tried everything. Every time I talk to ppl it's awkward because there is no connection. No similar interest. Plus I'm just a socially awkward kunt because of the isolation and don't even know how talk most of the time. I don't give a fuk about talking just to talk. I want a connection. How you can find a connection when you don't know anyone is beyond me

Do you have sick days? The company isn't going to fire you if you're taking sick days. Still, if they do just file for unemployment immediately and look for a better job.
One more thing, start an emergency found so that these situations is never an income issue. Its bad enough when you're sick without having to worry about money. I had to learn this the hard way. To be fair, there's nothing wrong with venting -- that's part of therapy. But venting without making any effort to improve doesn't help you.
Try something. If it doesn't work then talk about why and try something else. My therapist had me make a list of all the things I enjoy. I then went down the list and did all the things I included.🎥

i don't have real sick days unfortunately. i'm still with a job agency, so i'm not with the company. they can just replace me anytime. though i think the only reason they haven't done so is because of my work ethic. but this company i think they fire people for sick days, people are getting written up for taking sick days. i feel guilty for taking them too, i actually want to work, but my cold is so bad to the point where im dizzy and having sensory and visual problems.
been chugging a huge bowl of soup like 3 times a day, megadosing vitamin c and d. been taking melatonin or nyquil for sleep. god damn itThere is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

btw @Krane I actually went in to the clinic talk to someone this week. So far idk if it's being helpful. But thanks for the push. Might as well try. I still feel like a pu**y for going in. But whatever. We'll see. Worth tryingWe're all gonna make it crew

Hope everyone in here is getting along okay and making the best of their situation and trying to move forward with life.
I've been okay, the New Year was rough but I've been vastly improving since then, kind of thanks to a bit of luck plus me starting to take charge of my situation.
- Enrolled back in College, only taking 3 classes this semester but it keeps me on track to graduating and keeps me busy
- Decided to finally start taking SSRI medication, the change is huge and I can feel more in control. Yes, I no longer have the highs but I don't have the lows either, I feel way more balanced out, collected, less anxiety/insecurities
- Counseling has been progressing amazingly well, starting to make good progress on dealing with some issues
- Being social and extroverted has been a big step for me, I am still having plenty of "me" time and taking time to do the things I want, but it's great to be able to be around people, feel appreciated and all that - it's a huge part of dealing with all this depression
- Pretty certain a cute friend of mine is starting to show a fair bit of interest in me, not sure where I stand currently - I know she really liked me a few months back, she got me a super thoughtful Christmas present

I was reluctant as well. It took a long time for me to admit I needed help. But even more so, that others could provided it. I was so surprised that I was no the first person down that path and how many different types of interventions had been developed to help people like me deal with it.
I must point out though that just like being a student in school with a tough course, its important to get the right therapist. if one doesn't click or you feel they don't/can't relate ask for someone with different qualification. Never be embarrassed by this. You are the client. School is good in that they can provide a lot of counseling with a variety of situations and issues beyond just your school work. If they don't have a specialist on campus, they can refer you to someone outside.🎥

Thanks, brah. Took a few months to fight me way up, and I'll admit after the 2017 I had I was pretty roughed up for a while.
Honestly, I do miss the highs in a way, yes. But the fact it negates the low, cuts out the anxiety is worth the sacrifice in my honest opinion. I find I function better day-to-day as I don't have the same overwhelming thoughts and down moods. Less roller coaster and more consistency.
I was actually seeing the counselor on campus last semester and they referred to me an amazing one off-campus who I have been seeing for some time now. I still have contact with the one on-campus as they are a great resource in regards to updating Professors of any grievances and such."If you don't believe in yourself then why is anyone else going to?"

yeah, idk if i can though. maybe i'll go in and ask for a half day. i think they're really annoyed because i have been literally calling in every morning. can't be helped though. like for me if i can't even go to the gym, or don't have motivation to even brush my teeth that's enough to know that i'm not physically or mentally well to go outside. i think my chit is turning into a fever. i feel weaker and more lightheaded everyday. really affecting my mental state. like feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, and misery. face is looking extremely bloated due to the amount of soup i'm drinking.
i've never had this many sick days in my entire life. i am damn sure its because those morons don't turn the heaters on. like i even had a job where i was power washing sheet metal outside in the rain, midnight in winter. and i still never got sick from that. i've had so many jobs where i worked outside in the rain in the middle of winter. never been sick. i think warehousing u get sick more because the dust on the boxes is from china, and when u breathe that chit in, and it's freezing cold, ur body is ****ed.Last edited by 2RDEYE; 01-11-2018 at 12:11 PM.
