I thought about this all day. How are you supposed to have confidence and be a likable personality if you don't know anyone? Was talking to the UPS guy today about sports and then someone else came over and started talking so i went back to being quiet. I can't relate to what anyone says or what anyone talks about. As soon as other people come around i just have nothing to say. Same thing happened with my supervisor, he started talking about the Purge tv show and i was just like i kind of know about this movie but i can't talk about it much because i don't really watch it. It's just the same crap every time.

Really at a point where I don't even have the will to go on anymore. Every aspect of my life outside of the gym has been ****. 40 with no job, no career. Not really any skills. Its like no matter what I do how hard I try to improve I can never become financially dependant. Don't have a mortgage probably never will. I've tried trades but nobody legit wants to train. Or they want experience. Still have no car because I was in a accident and used settlement money to catch up in bills. And still in dept 12k. I'm also broke with no savings. Single for most of my life, never have a gf. I really see no point to continue. It never gets better.

I know what you mean. I feel that way about work and at times life in general. Basically being bitter and negative has become the norm. The only way that I have found to reverse it is to actively monitor your thoughts and challenge the negative thinking. Like literally all day monitor your thoughts and think of a positive when you even begin to rabbit hole into the negative. It's a ton of work and requires a ridiculous amount of mental energy though, so it's really hard to do it for the length of time (probably months) to really have a serious impact.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Idk man it's like i'm not capable of being happy that long. I get really low moods randomly every day. I just have to wait for them to go away and then i return to feeling just good enough to function. Then repeat.

We all have different types of crosses to bear, some can take it while others can't bro. The bodybuilding community is small as it is, and I think that it's nice that we have a group dedicated to supporting one another, no matter what we're going through.

I finished the gym today and decided to treat myself to a take out meal, because all week I've been saving money cooking my own meals and also felt I deserved to treat myself after a week of work. When I walked in I saw 3 men sitting by themselves, all in their 30s, eating alone. It made me depressed thinking that I saw myself in the very same position in life. Friday night, no friends to hang out with, no one to call and talk to, no one cares. When I was 19-20 I thought by 23 I would have all this chit taken care of and figured out. I guess it's my fault because I never really worked on trying to create and maintain a relationship with a woman, and kind of expected it to fall out of the sky. When I see happy young couples it genuinely makes me smile, because that kid will never know the suffering many men live with.

I guess it's my fault because I never really worked on trying to create and maintain a relationship with a woman, and kind of expected it to fall out of the sky. When I see happy young couples it genuinely makes me smile, because that kid will never know the suffering many men live with.
    Thought you had a GF?

But yeah i see quiet a few people out alone and just wonder what is wrong with them lol. Are they FA, introverts, on the spectrum, have anxiety etc. I see girls like this too.

Not anymore... broke up for the best but still sad about it. Was putting up with a lot, knew she was never going to change and either I accept it, or break up.

I rarely see girls by themselves. In a few situations like the gym or grocery shopping where it's something socially acceptable to be done alone, but I've never seen a girl eat by themselves in public

I don't see them eating alone but i do see them places alone and not talking to anyone else. I believe there are semi FA/FA girls just like there are FA men.

Hey brahs. Hope you are all doing well. I follow this thread often but very rarely post. I think I've only checked in a few times. Anyway, I still am struggling with anxiety and depression, but some days I am much better than others, and overall have improved quite a bit. Some things that helped me and might help you:

    - Make sure you get 7 hours or more of sleep per night
    - Avoid all alcohol and caffeine
    - Stretch for 40 minutes daily or more
    - Cardio 20 minutes daily or more
    - Make sure you lift on your regular schedule
    - Practice box breathing or other meditation techniques
    - Eat healthy
    - Try your best to always think big picture and maintain perspective. Yes, problem X is huge today and probably will also be huge tomorrow. In 2 years? Likely not.

I know all this is simple and common sense but I am sure many of you brahs are just like me. Working 70+ hours per week often, such that even just accomplishing the 7 hours of sleep or more can be a challenge. Let alone the other things. If so, you absolutely have to find a a way to make them a priority. The difference it has made for me has been HUGE. And studies have shown the above can be almost as effective as meds in some case. When I was down I thought such simple, common sense recommendations were almost insulting and trivialized my problems. No way they would work. I already lived healthy. I am not some female that can relax just by lighting a candle etc. It turns out I could not have been more wrong. I still struggle with depression and anxiety but I am worlds better than before where I could not even leave my bed.Give it a try brahs. We are all gonna make it!

    GO TO A FUKIN THERAPIST/PSYCH

I went to one and it changed my life. They put me on the correct things as well as help me break down what the initial problem was. Life sucks but oh well at least make it manageable.

I have crippling anxiety. I can't leave my house now I can.
