I'm also more of a scotch drinker, but sometimes bourbon just hits the spot.
Blanton's is a pretty amazing dram for sipping. I really like Four Roses small batch for Old Fashioned's, really need to try the single barrel soon. It's a local place in Wisconsin so I'm not sure you could find a bottle where you are but I also really like J. Henry Cask Strength.

I am not blown away by Blanton's and I know several that love it. I have a bottle and I have a 375 that I bought when I was able to taste the barrel on the front end.
That will be a good trip and you'll get to try many things. Should be interesting.
I'm a big fan of Willet, Widow Jane and Four Roses, especially the barrel proof stuff.Squat: 1,040

Dude from Powerlifting to Win deciding to close up shop and no longer have any involvement with powerlifting.
Then goes on to not state why he's done with the sport to his "followers". Such is the way of those that put their lives out there on social media. They only show you what they want to then don't want to show you sh!t outside of that and close up.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

when's the last time Powerlifting to Win was even relevant though? His content was pretty big like 3-4 years ago and he completely stopped for a few years. Came back in the last year or so but didn't hear much about it, likely because there's SO much content out there now. Probably realized it's just not a profitable enterprise at this point.
Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Just his whole attitude towards his followers kind of struck me the wrong way. The guy came off as a dick and may very well be in real life.
If you have followers that have supported you, bought your e-books, supported your website, etc, etc the least you can do is give a brief reason as to why you dropped everything and no longer want to be part of the sport.
Instead he hits them with reasons like "I don't want to tell you more about my personal life" bs. Oh and he took the post down lol.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

It happens. I know USAPL doesn't really track the statistics, but the average membership probably lasts 1 to 3 years these days. Those that have been competing for 20+ years are a huge minority. A lot of people simply get burned out from the training and he probably burned himself out from all the content he was putting out as well. I think he said he was going to keep his website and all his free content up though in that post, before he removed it. So people can still access his info and maybe he'll end up coming back once he's had some time off.

I have a programming question for anyone who has experience with coaching.
I had a look at the free programs Blaine Sumner put on his site and i noticed something odd. On all the programs, the first week has the most volume, but then over the next few weeks the intensity remains the same but the volume decreases.
For example:
Week 1: 5sets x 8reps 73%
Week 2: 5sets x7reps 73%
Week 3: 5sets x6reps 73%
Week 4: 3sets x5reps 72%
(Im guessing that week 4 is a deload week. )
I feel like this would be detrimental to making progress, since the weeks are getting "easier". Surely you need either the volume or intensity to increase to drive progress?
If anyone could explain the reasoning behind this method, id be very interested.
