Competed at IPL Drug tested worlds a few weeks ago.
Didn't quite hit the numbers I wanted to because it was hard to judge strength after traveling. Went a little conservative on squat and deadlift. Ended up with 628 391/727 for a 1747 total at 238. Overall pretty happy with the results. Ended up 7th overall among men and women. Videos are all here. https://instagram.com/fayerjw/Most of my lifting gets posted to Instagram - https://instagram.com/fayerjw/

Thanks, I think I had 738 in me for the pull, but I was playing it safe all day. I took a 20kg jump from 1st to second, then a 25 kg jump to third lol. 628/672/727 It worked out.
Hows single ply treating you? Every once in a while I see your bench videos and it makes me want to try it.Most of my lifting gets posted to Instagram - https://instagram.com/fayerjw/

25kg jump between 2nd and 3rd is some ballsy shiit. I usually do 20-25kg between 1st and 2nd, then 5-10kg between 2nd to 3rd.
Singleply is hard man, its super stressful especially on meet day. Every year I tell myself I'm gonna go back to raw but I got some goals I want to hit, so I got myself a coach to keep me on track. But yea shirted benching is fun, so is pulling in a suit. TBH equipped squats are the worst and they stress me the fuuck out.My training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=129669663

Yeah, same here. I see singly ply and it looks appealing, but I have goals set I want to hit first. According to open powerlifting right now, I'm 190th on the drug tested totals list for 242s. The goal is to be much higher. I know nobody cares about the drug tested rankings, but its easier to climb those lol.

Anyone here use wrastlin shoes for lifting? My Reebok Lite TRs are starting to wear out and looking for a good replacement. I think I'm back to using heels for squatting anyway, but wondering what a good replacement for the reeboks would be for benching deadlifting and general lifting and conditioning stuff like sled pushing etc.

This section is so dead lmao!
Just getting back into powerlifting. Competing in late june. I'm doing deadlift only since I need to rehab my shoulder for a bit until I feel comfortable benching again.
I plan on competing in the 198 class. I want to hit a 450lb deadlift as my 3rd attempt if not more. Right now I weigh 221lbs. Want to get down to 190lbs so I have some room to be able to gain 5lbs of muscle before the meet. At 195lbs I'll be able to make it into the 198 class without being over the weight limit.
It's been 11 years since i last competed and i want to make my comeback and come out of retirement.
I've been in the gym for 2 months just doing bodybuilding stuff. So, now it's time to start training heavy and get back into powerlifting.
Time to earn another trophy.

The strongman thread here unfortunately looks to move about as slow as the one I found on Honda-Tech.
Going to keep my eyes open for an opportunity to try strongman in the U-181lb class sometime this year. Still have a lot of strength I need to build up though if I want to be competitive, currently only weigh 155lb so I have plenty of real estate to work with before hitting the 181 mark. 181lb seems to be the lowest weight class for strongman available.

Garage gym is open here. Actually the province I'm in has had basically no 'Rona, but was still restricted for a while. Garage was full of crap while the trailer was being worked on, but usable again now.
Man 2009 WSM was definitely one of the best. Was it 08 or 09 (I wanna say 08) where Poundstone nearly won, but just barely slipped the last stone and Pudz got it up?
The Fortissimus comps are insane too if you can find them to watch. Very grueling, I think 10 event long comps.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

Where is everyone?
Anyone got a meet coming up? Goals? Hit big PRs lately?
I'm competing in 4 weeks, it will be my first full meet in 3 years. Planning to hit 805 Squat, and a big PR in Deadlift. Opening 550 bench but hoping to at least hit 610 if things go well.I'm not DrewDarden

I'd really like to do a meet in 2021. Finishing up losing a bunch of weight then gonna try to rebuild some strength. Rehabbing and had to work through a bunch of dumb injuries, and a couple very tumultuous years life wise. Things are going well in training now though.
Those are great goals for your meet, what are you aiming for for DL? Multi-ply meet eh?YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC
