Definitely looked like knurl maybe too sharp. Almost done watching day1 blue platform. Ben's first pull attempt was definitely a shock to his hands. He stopped pulling and just looked down at his hands shaking them off. Being aggressive is one thing but being to sharp kills the hook.

Hello.
I'm weak, but thinkin about makin a comeback...my gym shut down so I have a garage gym now which consists of:
-Squat rack
-Bench
-Adjustable dumbells up to 50
-2 basic bars
-2 sets of ~250 lb in weight
-Pullup bar
I'm gonna get more 45's, and a deadlift bar. What else to I really need?Best Meet Lifts:

RAB fitness? Was really sad when they shut down. They were a staple in the strength sports community for as long as I've been lifting and they're lifters always came down here to Oregon to compete. Was sad to see Roger and Ally split up even though I don't actually know them personally lol.

Yeah that gym was awesome. Rent was expensive and they kept membership selective (I think there at the end they had increased it to maybe 150 people). They are both great people, in their own ways. I talk to some of the lifters from there every once in a great while, they all seem to have found other good options, but still nothing like RAB.

i actually like jezza but it's not like ray is going to lose. I'm not saying I want ray to get caught but I want ray to somehow quit the ipf, and just gas pedal himself in a certain way and see what he has. Searcy 1058 good lift to take Eric’s squat record, then benches 451 and pulls 854 for a 2364 total...no clue how he’s a 308, dude is massive
Sarah Lewis had an off day and still totaled 1280ish in sleeves at 165
Jodie Burford went over 1200 in wraps at 148
And finally, I pulled 501 hook easy for a post-injury PR and all the feels

Hook takes a bit of time usually but, to me, it was worth it. I have a 13 year old that has pulled 405 in the gym, 402 in a meet and lost 418 at the top. Pulled hook grip once and that was it. I have several female lifters that use is as well. Usually, once you get the feel of it and learn to deal with a little thumb pain, you don't look back. It's just a more efficient way to pull.

Not the greatest spectator meet, but the best for spotting and loading and platform management lol. One guy in "equipped". 2m wraps, raw bench, suited DL.
Other than him, all raw, sub jr, and jr.
