Yea, there will be a new formula. A couple submitted ones last year, including the guy from USAPL who created the NextLifter scoring program. Then they've been having people analyze them and figure out which to go with.

The President's report said that it's not because Robert Wilks got booted out, which makes everyone think that's the reason why lol.

I like the idea of a 'percentile score' type system that is updated from tiem to time. I think that is one of the proposals. Saying you're in the xth percentile for totals in y weight class seems a lot less arbitrary to me than my wilks is z

"Updated from time to time" sounds like a nightmare to me with regard to comparability over the years. It will also be fun for those promotors using homemade score sheets.

We'll see. The rule change proposals made for a very entertaining read in general. :-)

Good to see Petr get out there and show what he's capable of finally. Insane total. I didn't watch any of the lifting, surprised to see Eric end up where he did. Happy to see Odell up there though, I really like that guy.

Petr is an absolute giant. Huge as all fuk and straight muscle. Dude looks like a cartoon character. Funny seeing Eric look normal or even small in comparison when standing next to all these dudes lol.

Was rooting for my man Doyle his deadlift suffered yesterday. Lost his first on grip, then got his next 2 easily but only ended with 826 down from 870 the last 2 years.


Was super impressed with how many of these dudes dunked some of their squat attempts and was obviously to depth from the front angle. But there were plenty of squat and deadlift white lights that I know wouldn't have passed at the US open or other big USPA meets (high squats, soft knees on deadlift, etc).

Odell was definitely gonna win until he pulled his hamstring on his 2nd deadlift. Dude killed his squat and bench.
Brandon Allen was also impressive as fuk, getting that 1008 squat and attempting an 898 pull for gold.

So Mark Bell dropped some cash and got some products IPF approved. Cool.

But how did he get the X Sleeves approved? Denim outside and silicon strips. Thought knee sleeves had to be just neoprene.

Tweaked my hamstring yesterday pulling a double at 66%. Just as I was about to start increasing intensity to get ready for a meet.

Feels pretty minor; I'm hoping it was just a cramp thats all knotted up now. Going to have to reassess in a few days.

Denim shirts are excruciatingly painful (more painful than polyester), I'm definitely going to grab a pair of denim knee sleeves if they can stay IPF approved for the next few months.

The cerakote OPB bars suck. The knurling is for kids.
Highly recommend getting the stainless steel 20kg bar is soo much nicer... Knurling for people who aren't pussies. Thinner collars too and less whip.
