I was asked on a Thursday night to go judge a meet that was 4 hours away on Saturday. I didn't realize that it was raw only until I already committed. It was the worst. Every one of the people hosting the meet who lived in that city left as soon as the last deadlift hit the floor. Me and three other people (who also lived 4 hours away) were the only ones there cleaning up for the last hour or so. So after that I vowed to never do one again

Help Needed -
Tore a callus a couple days ago and am pulling 585+ (heavy for me) in 5 days. Luckily it's on my underhand (mixed grip) and not the overhand, but I want to know how to heal it the quickest? What should I put on it? If it isn't fully healed by Thursday when I pull heavy, should I just wrap it with athletic tape? I don't use straps.~Whatever it takes

If the rules are "lower under control" then that doesn't satisfy that for sure, but I agree, hands were on all the way down.
Either way Odells numbers (440/245/405) = 1090 are bigger than if Vlad got what he wanted, 505/200/380 =1085.

The difference is he bombed and now his WR squat doesn't count for ****.
Unless it does? I don't know. His squat was probably borderline af if not blatantly high vs the 500 he did before, but for an overseas meet he still showed up pretty hard.
Like Martin said I don't see why they'd nitpick him over that ****. Be a different story if he let go of it during the slam or dropped it on the way down.

I am thinking about gradually changing out the craigslist plates I have for nice new ones. What plates would you go with and why? Also is there a time of year where they are on sale or are plates pretty much regular price all year?
