Finally watched the full thing this time, there are actually drills in there that could be useful.


I have done this with very light kettlebells in the form of slow goblet squats. I don't shift but my right hip still tucks more than the left.

Yeah, i had bad hip shift and knee travel discrepencies in the summer. its better now, all i did was just try to move intentionally symmetrically.

also RIP CWS' lifting, wish he'd do some more PL. Might be all done.

squat super slow with bodyweight and fix it. i found doing paused squats helped too since you can focus on bottom position more

Those glute bridges have helped me a lot with the shift problem.

Such a good week this week for me. Lifting Gods has blessed me with gains.

Hit 210KG raw total grinder. 2.5kg from 59KG wr.

Hit 250KG eq. Very ez. 25kg from WR.


Anyone watched Ray william's vid about squatting above parallel?

Doesnt squatting above parallel puts alot of pressure on your knees compared to going deep?

Am i getting it wrong or what?



I didnt. But i felt like i wanted to fall forward and I couldnt grip the bar properly.

Does anyone workout in a chitty commercial gym? I don't wanna blame the equipment for my bad workouts but it's for sure affecting it. We only have one 45lb barbell that has terrible knurling and it's bent too. We also only have one squat rack and no dedicated bench press so if you feel like benching you have to bring a bench into the rack.

Yea lol, will probably go to a new one once I get a job over the summer. Will be good a 20-30 min drive vs the 2 min but it'll be worth it

Got them and really like them a lot. Bought them for bench and DL. Started recently using them with squats over my adipowers.feeling really nice. Solid stiff leather that needs broken in at first but is holding up really well. Thin stiff sole. Good grip. Strap feels solid and locked in. Favorite flat shoe yet over wrestling shoes, chucks, crossfit litepr, metals, and a few others. I would totally buy them again. Oh, and a nice roomy toe box area.

I had gone from flats to adipowers for squatting for a couple years but now I'm back in flats. I've been using my crossfit lite's for 4-5 years now and they don't have much left in them. Really liked them but I think reebok stopped making them. I had thought about just getting some chucks or wrestling shoes but came across these.

I like the lite trs a lot. Was my favorite flats until I tried the goodlifts. I do wish the sole was flatter like the lite trs. As is they are more like a wrestling shoe how they wrap up the sides. But the stiff solid feeling is so much better. There's a stiff board in the bottom. Someone pulled it out and called it cardboard but it's not actual cardboard. It's much like the layer found in some belts to make them stiff like Infer forever belts and why they take longer to break in vs a Pioneer or SBD belts. So I wouldn't attempt to bend the shoe to much to keep that stiffness intact.

The toe box is about the same except the goodlifts are stiff leather. Reminded me more of the do-wins which also have a roomy toe box.

Finally got through women's and men's 2017 IPF worlds up through 93kg men's. That was a nice fight for 2nd overall and 1st placing in DL.

But why no US men's 93kg or 83kg lifters?

Open? There were a bunch of countries missing lifters who did the world games over the summer. The US didn't have Knute, Ian Bell, Charlie, or Blaine. Might be forgetting someone else.

I stay visiting snap city apparently...torn adductor tendon in October of 16, then tore my bicep on New Years Eve of 2017. Guess 2018 is gonna be another rebuilding year but oh well

I can’t say enough about the quality and atmosphere of the Iron Mafia meets...some of Dom’s buddies drove all the way to Kentucky to compete. It was a hell of a day. Also got to meet Sarah Lewis which was cool

Can confirm. Iron Mafia puts on some great meets with great judging. If I recall correctly, I saw Mark bomb out or almost bomb out his wife lol

Had multiples in other classes. Some guys couldn't go to World Games and Worlds in the same year. Blaine didn't qualify since he bombed at WG's.
