After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Such a good week this week for me. Lifting Gods has blessed me with gains.
Hit 210KG raw total grinder. 2.5kg from 59KG wr.
Hit 250KG eq. Very ez. 25kg from WR.
Anyone watched Ray william's vid about squatting above parallel?
Doesnt squatting above parallel puts alot of pressure on your knees compared to going deep?
Am i getting it wrong or what?
I didnt. But i felt like i wanted to fall forward and I couldnt grip the bar properly.
not yet. Might buy a velocity maybe its better. My Powerlifting "Road To Manlet" Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172129323

Everybody is different. Rays knees might bug him when he drops it down. If he can consistently hit depth/be gifted whites in meets because the IPF loves their poster boy, then he doesn't exactly have a problem.
There are a ton of big lifters that don't bury everything in training. 8-900+ pounds is world's away from 4-500 pounds in terms of the affect on your body, regardless of how strong you are.
I'd be more worried about his lower back because his hips tuck like crazy, but he's so genetically blessed leverage wise he can likely get away with it.

Exactly. He can and does get away with it. He is literally the best raw squatter in the world. You look on social media and people saying hes only 1/4 squatting (I'd call it 7/8 or deeper) and bashing him. He is the best in the world; his training methods make him the best in the world. How can anyone question that level of skill and strength.
Also, where is this video he talks about squatting above? I haven't seen it.Most of my lifting gets posted to Instagram - https://instagram.com/fayerjw/

He addressed his squat depth in a comment on his Instagram:
I know a lot of people see my training vids and be like WTH IS HE DOING!! And I know it is high but this is not a quarter squat, quarter squats is when you barely bend your knees…
I am about 1.5 (inches) high because I don’t see the point in squatting that low now, and I have huge thighs. if I was a thinner dude you would really see how low I am…
Lastly, man why does the world have such a problem saying good job? Like it baffles me how people who know so much about bodily mechanics and human antimony are not elite lifters or pioneers in human research….My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Your first problem was social media. Half of them don’t have a clue what they are talking about. Half of them couldn’t phathom high pin standing in a rack with 1000 lb let alone walking it out, squatting it and reracking it.
Hell, I didn’t fully grasp geared lifting till I did it. Hitting 375 raw for bench feels like a death wish. Then I need 500 in a shirt with good form.
They can always start their own feds and see how it goes. Most of the complainers don’t even realize Ed Coan used gear (not just the other gear) and they always go into his meet vids talking how great his raw lift is when he’s clearly wearing wraps, suit or a bench shirt.

Any of you guys have a direction to a good bench program? My bench sucks and I figured I'd just jump on a 5x5 intermediate type program (a la Bill Star's) but was wondering if anyone else had some input. I appreciate it fellas.

Missed this part too
Why is it that anything that’s outside the powerlifting cultural norm is considered just weird and wrong and blasphemous? (…)
Now, me, I like my knees. I like walking. I like not experiencing pain when i walk. You do what you want with your knees. But with these knees, I’d rather save my knees and all of my other body parts because it just doesn’t make sense to squat below parallel every time you squat. (…) Records are set on the platform, not in training.
Sure, a lot of people might come back and show a study that says squatting keep isn’t bad for your knees. But there aren’t that many studies on 400-pound world record holders, and it’s safe to say that Williams knows his body better than we do.
Let’s let the man squat. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Hey guys, need some suggestions and maybe you guys can help.
I have scabs on my knees that open up every week during deadlifts, and I need to cover them up so they don't bleed. (So I've been told). Ive used bandaids and they rip right off, so i need something really strong and sticky that will stop the bleeding from coming down my legs, and that won't rip off when the barbell scrapes it.
Anyone have any suggestions for the best type/brand? Will rep.~Whatever it takes

Sucks dude and I hear you. It's been 3 years since I tore my pec but it's still in my mind every single time I bench. Only thing that's helped me is to never go heavy raw, or to only go heavy close grip raw. All max width stuff I do now is either 1) off pins and not to the chest, 2) in a bench daddy, or 3) in a shirt. Only times I go to my chest raw are close grip and warmups. Is it optimal for building a big bench? Doubt it, but it is what it is.
Wear knee sleeves if you have them until the scabs heal, or put a bandaid on and wrap over it with athletic tape going around the whole knee so it doesn't fall off.

That **** is probably the best tape I've used for lifting. Strong sticky and flexible
Leaves a little residue that you need to scrub off afterwards but nothing serious

The right side of my hip tucks more than the left when I squat, which ends up making me shift/twist in the hole. Can’t seem to fix it even with super light weights. Suggestions?

Finally watched the full thing this time, there are actually drills in there that could be useful.
I have done this with very light kettlebells in the form of slow goblet squats. I don't shift but my right hip still tucks more than the left.My training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=129669663
