After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Why isn’t there any buzz about Worlds just around the corner?
Even though I’m beyond powerlifting I still occasionally train, know, and support a colleague of mine.

Lolol....yea he’s a Manlet!!
Animal wouldn’t sponsor him when I reached out to them about 4months ago, but he’s picked up a couple good ones in the last 2 weeks.
He’s up against some vets and heavy hitters so we will see what’s up.
IMO powerlifting and strongman kinda go hand in hand and usually cross over. His training for example is based off of powerlifting movements and technique but on certain days he trains strongman style. I think I have his workout saved on my phone somewhere if anyone is interested

That's cool. From following Tom's log on here a couple years ago he did very much a powerlifting type routine with implements implemented.
I'd be very interested in seeing his training.
Strong is strong. Then just need to learn the techniques.
From what Kaz said in some interviews he did no strongman training going into the WSM comps at least initially. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

I’m now a bodybuilder but when I trained with him we did kegs, logs, and farmers carries. The 2” grip for me is so unconventional it’s not even funny. The log press is also weird for me, the technique of pulling from the ground is no problem but switching grips mid lift and rolling the log up your stomach to the military feels weird!! I can press the weight (200 or (250) but getting it from the knees to the military press form is a struggle for me.
Let me ask him if I can post it

Yeah the guys IG handle is Anthonycw13. He posted a pic of 2 different squats trying to claim they were the same, but they obviously were 2 different squats and some dude did the Arian line on them and it was hilariously high obviously so he deleted the pic. He said something to the affect of I have 2"s of gear and the angle makes it look 2 inches higher and one comment said what about the other 4 inches before you hit depth lol

Side note I've been lifting for fun for like 3 years no and haven't competed and realized my front squat / feet up bench / sumo total is higher than my official combo total. lol I need to compete again.
Also if you guys are looking for an ab upper back destroyer, do front squat holds, belt less for 20 seconds with your max. Got the idea from Josh Bryant and holy **** the lat pumpA total@A body weight
