I just wanted to share this with you all, just in case some of you have been waiting on a deal from Titan.
Apparently they're having a 10% off sale this weekend and you can stack a 5% off coupon on top of it.
In addition, they have a reward point system, which allows you to use $5 off every $100 you spend.
By separating the orders, you can get like $20 off on your 2nd item once you get a rack from them (which is what I did).
Edit: Interestingly, they state on the website that you cannot stack coupons on top of the 10% sale, but I was able to place an order with coupon stacked on top of 10% off prices. Hopefully the order won't change.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I just picked up their Viking Press handle.....not something I would bother with ordinarily, but the price was right.

Dont stress, some forum regulars love bashing titan on quality. Its a firum made up of mostly regulars who have equipment in there hone gyms wich is mostly full commercial equipment that was hand picked based on the process of building amazing home gyms being a passionate hobby additionally to just having decent workout equipment.
I fall squarely into that camp but i am more willing to add pieces that arent the highest level of finish as long as there built robustly and function well. Especially when its items i may not have purchased otherwise. Its a bit miskesdibg for someone more new to this end of the hobby because most of us, though our gyms are filled with full gym quality equipment, couldnt or wouldnt spend the $50,000 plus that the equipment retails for new. Were in a much different position then so eone just starting there gym who doesn't have the basics. The guys posting have enough equipment to get the wirkout they need roght now, if we are looking to buy something its a non essential item that is on a list of " that would be nice to use for extra variety" so theres no rush. When we are buying were usually looking on craigs list, we are familiar with every commercial brand and what pieces that company makes well and what to stay away from. We akso know exactly what a fair price, overprice, or steal is. We generally buy equipment totally ufeasable for new comers and were buying at sometimes as low as pennies on the dollar. That doesn't seem like the spot yur in now. I just bought a 7 gage 4"x3" 6 post welded PowerLift rack that delivered costs over $4000 new! I paid about $500 for it though, but only because i had a pretty good 6 post rack doing a great job already and was only buying a 2nd rack if someyhing like this came up.
PowerLift isnt a nanecmoscnewcomers would even know, but its bpvery good.
Heres my opinion for you, its pretty unbiased, i own top of the line equipment and also several purchases from Titan i am very happy with, so opinion based on 1st hand experience
RACKS ARE super impirtant in a gym, soend a much as you can. Assuming you cant siend more then $700-800 On a full rack set up, buying a new high end rack package from mid or upper mid tier companies will mean you are getting BARE BONES, small footprint, and will DEFINITELY not be able to get all the accesories you want.
Options in my opinion from best to worst:
1) buy a used commercial rack, it will take time and research but youll get a piece of equipment that lasts forever
2) buy a better high value rack from one of the impirt companies, but buy there better models. They usually have a better offering thats a good rack and a super deal.
REP fitnes has the cppr racks, not cheap but i think reasonable and have upgraded stuff included.
Titan is the king of high value equipment, racks are there strength. It wont have great piwder coating, the welds, though from my experiance mire then functional will not have excess ground off or the prettiest weld marks. Tgere may be some chips in the upright arount the top and bottom.... but you will get a almost exact duplicate of a rogue design (itself a knock off) built with Exactly The same metal thickness and sturdy as hell for around 1/3 of the price.
I have a rogue rack that i outfitted almost completely with titsn, there pull up bars, safeties, mono lift, weight storage uprights, etc. at least in this area i see very little difference from Rogue thats not "cosmetic" and some of there newer items seem to have imprived finish techniques. I will even go out on a limb and say several recent purchases where knocked of a rogue, i got the same build materials, decent (not oerfect) finish AND TITAN ACTUALLY IMPROVED A FEW THINGS. My monos have uhmw lining on the flip diwn tabs that rogue only offers on the mobster line, my pull up bar had an additional angled grip option not on the rogue,
If you can spend more and want the rogue, its nice, but expensive and functiinally not offering much more if anything.
The 2x3 and 3x3 titan stuff will totally fit your bill and hold up to anything

no one is bashing it by comparing it against commercial equipment - I don't even know where that is coming from.
Comparing the quality of a Titan Rack vs what you pay for a Titan rack - I don't think it's there. It's a combination of a lot of the little stuff - things aren't perfectly square, holes are slightly off, etc plus the potential of needing parts replaced that we have seen more than once and on different pieces. To most people, those little things don't matter and if you bolt it down and never move the rack, they very well might not. But I know how those little things can add up over time, especially if there is a decent amount of movement involved (either moving the rack to different locations, disassembling things, or even hard racking of the bars) it starts getting a little sloppy - kinda like Ikea furniture. At first, it's great. But if you have to take the bed apart a few times or it endures a decent amount of rigorous activity, it starts to get loose and a little wobbly.
It seems like getting an $800 Rogue rack for $400. But to me, you're paying $400 for a $300 rack. Meanwhile, an option like the GPR378 is $500 and you are getting a $500 rack and it has a history of performing just as well ten years later because they don't have all those little issues that add up.Boomer Rep Crew #1

Well, I'd still contend that a) Ikea is a good solution for people who plan to move shortly and b) unlike Ikea, Titan is made of same material using the same blueprint as higher quality stuff (depending on what you're comparing with; Chinese knockoff furniture of Italian furniture is a better comparison IMO).
I'm sure what you're saying is true but that would still result in a more comparable overall product than Ikea is compared to higher end furniture.

the titan rack is 11ga steel with the metric analog of 5/8 hardware I would suspect that it could be moved more than just a couple times before there was any trouble. Maybe I got the only good one but all my bolt holes line up and everything assembled together well and all the accessories I've bought from them have fit as expected.

but it's not due to it's limitations.
Like I said, if you put it together and bolt it down, you might not ever see a problem.
But to me, you can get much better quality (with much longer history) for $150-200 more...Boomer Rep Crew #1
