What car is this? I dont know what a stinger is. edit. google helped me determine its a kia. I really like its styling. A lot of good cars coming out, I have a 13 scion tc paid off with 120k miles still rolling original clutch and all, been flawless. When the car breaks down (guessing 300k miles) i'll definitely be considering one of these camrys or stingers. More competition is always better! Just need the prices to stay fair

what is confusing, my sentence is pretty simple and easy to understand. We are talking about the visual appeal of the new Toyota, right?....right.

Go to google and look at Hyundia before 2010 or so. They made a crazy leap in visual appeal and interior appeal. Also, I dont like Hyundia but they definitely are NOT garbage.

You should probably go do your research.

I agree with that statement. Too many hands in the sculpting clay and its been over done. Lines on the car dont work well together. The new camry actually has a feel of simplicity but works very well and look modern.

They are pretty good looking in person..
The four exhaust tips brings the cringe.. but outside of that its the best looking Camry to date.

I have a 2006 Manual V6 accord coupe too, and hate the newer accords. The 2008+ (8th gen) are horrible, the car is bigger and taller yet there is less room on the interior. I never got that.

The 2018 accord looks like ****, and they dropped the V6? WTF? Nobody will buy their cars because they're so underpowered compared to the competition, it's getting pretty bad.

This camry looks ****ing great though. They REALLY learned how to design a 4d sedan.

I started working at Toyota sales a little over a month ago, can confirm that the XSE is hnnnng. Inside looks luxurious. Most of the ones we have are a the 4 cylinders, although I think there is one XLE v6 we have in stock. If you're going to get a 2018 the SE/XSE front end is the best.

Hate ecoboxes but would buy in xle or higher.

Should be fine though. The new accord sport uses a detuned version of the turbo i4 from the civic type R.

This looks better than either the accord or camery. Both accord and camery front end looks groce. Camery looks fine inside but no android auto which isnt acceptable these days. Accord is almost perfect inside and also has android auto then messes it up with that weird screen that looks like they just glued a tablet onto the dashboard. I like my VW, everyone is trying so hard these days making their car look like some kind of ugly transformer. I just like basic looking chit.

Think they look pretty solid. lol at sedan though.

Agreed with brahs above too that stinger looks better. It's back is almost a hatch, which gives it a much sleeker profile.

Toyota vs Kia though, Id probably trust a Toyota more if you need the reliability. Stinger GT though is pretty beefy.

Camrys and Accords are pulling away from the Mazda 6 [no pun] pretty quickly in terms of performance AND styling.

Mazda better come through with something dope. Bring back the Speed6 and slay them both.

The large wheel spacing from the bumpers makes the sporty appearance seem very.....poserish. It's clear this platform will never be suited for anything to do with high speed stability, somewhat like the Kia Stinger. Upon review of most trims, the car just doesn't look good. There are select pics with select angles that make it look nice, but they're deceptive.

Camry use to mean boring. Now it means try-hard but miss-the-point.

Yeah seems like the Mazda 6 has been the same car stuck in time for like 10 years. Mazda just seems stale and the same old.

Even the Miata, which is their standout seems the same thing over and over with a price that, I think, is a bit steep.

Im a Mazda fan boi, on my second consecutive 6, and even I agree. They've gotta bring the fire back, something to compete with Honda and Toyota.

Nissan, too. You really dont see anything innovative or exciting coming from the Altima these days.

Yep Id love a speed 6 or 3 remake and done well.

Imo add Acura to that list too. All of these turning into stale econoboxes with performance options getting more and more limited to a few "performance" sedans (WTF). Coupes dying out.

GTR and 370Z is stale as well too, to your point. Overpriced and barely changed.

The car looks ridiculously good irl.

    Neighbor has it in white.

I don't regret my v6 Accord coupe purchase but if i was to recommend a new car, Camry > Accord for 2018. Honda being 'super reliable' is a myth now.

I've driven both and even with the CVT the Accord is a better commuter IMO. Styling is uglier though and I do worry about the CVT and even the turbo but I won't keep the car past 50k. Lack of Apple Carplay or Android Auto are almost deal breakers too. Someone's gotta be able to hack their linux based system though and get AC or AA installed though.

Do they both handle like boats?

My Accord has impressive acceleration but handles like a 1990 buick. Wondering if the new 4cyl Turbo still has a ~5sec 0-60 but better handling, which is unlikely.

Yeah both handle like boats, the camry being the worst of the two.

Maybe the 2.0T with the 10spd will be more sporty. But at that price it might be better to look at entry level luxury cars. Or like in my case I might snag a 2011-2012 Panamera instead. Driving dynamics, chassis balance, handling etc completely chits all over practically every other family sedan.
