That's right you have the L5-S1 issue. Makes squatting and deadlifting difficult. I had an injury in my early twenties, that at the time I thought was my back. The ER took Xrays and told me they "thought" I had cracked a disc, and sent me to a chiropractor. I was ****ing high as a kite on pain killers, and didn't have the head space to ask for more info. Never saw the xray, and in retrospect, they seemed like they weren't really sure what was wrong with me. In any case, 3 months of my life a complete blur. Oxy's and Morphin all day, lying on my stomach all day. Getting up to go to the bathroom, shower, eat etc would literally take me 15-30 minutes minimum. Every movement, back spasm, so i'd move a few inches and have to stop, regain composure, move another few inches and repeat until I got to my destination. Worst pain i'd ever felt. In any case, as I got older, started assessing the pain, now I think it may have been a tailbone injury. I know w back injuries the pain isn't always felt where the injury actually is, but i've noticed that the pain seems to be in my tailbone and shoot up through my back. Even just sitting here at my work desk, my tailbone is tight as ****, uncomfortable and can kind of feel it expanding up my lower back and down the hamstrings.
Moral of the story...posterior chain injuries are no joke. Be smart with the compound movements, and always nail that form. I really feel that squats and deads have helped the injury over the years, but there have been times when I've aggravated the injury bc my form was off.Squat and Deadlift

Given quality programming, what kind of poundages do you think I could gain in 3 months on the Big 3? I'm at 295lb bench, 505lb dead, and 395lb squat, all tested this week, raw. that's a total of 1195lb. Would it be unrealistic to think I could get to 1300lb raw total in 3 months? Obviously with no celltech, cause USAPL. I would think a 545lb deadlift, 445lb squat and 315lb bench would be doable, putting me at 1305lb.

Honestly, I think that's a lot to ask for in 3 months. I'd say the 315 bench may be doable, the squat and deads, i'd say you can likely put 10-15 lbs on them in a 3 month period. I'm kind of pulling these numbers out of my ass though, I may be wrong, and of course it will boil down to programming and nutrition. But I mean, you're already an experienced lifter.

Thanks.
I can imagine how that was. Mine was like that for a few days once on a flare-up. You literally can't do anything. At all.
I 100% know that squats help my back. If I was truly smart I wouldn't do straight bar deads probably, but I've been limiting them and doing trap deads for the supplemental, I may at some point just do trap bar exclusively.

That's always been my 'thing'.
Thanks

Best thing I ever did! But if you would of asked me the first 6 months after I would have said "No Way would I do that again". I did get staph from the hospital that required a PICC line for 6 weeks and 2 follow up surgeries to clean out the infection. So I had 3 surgeries in one month and about 20 days of that month in the hospital.

I need hydra-charge in fruit punch in a more giant container. Like 500 servings worth. I use like 5+ scoops a day.

Awesome depth and lift man. Impressive.
I finally just decided to do trap bar deads. My gym has a good bar, I feel much safer pulling more weight and it's been much more friendly on my joints and easier to get the right form.
I know there is obviously no competing on trap bar lol.
Trap bar for the win!

It's an Intra (to me at least) with stims, 100 caff 20 DMAA (If I recall correctly) an extra long workout kick or even as a energy drink replacement it's very nice.
I have a tub of the green apple flavor and will use it with unflavored Glycofuse sometimes, still prefer SizeOn, but is a nice change up for me.
There been some really good sales on it from time to time, I've seen.Instagram - @dougefresh093

Another good moderate stim pre (no exotics, just caffeine) that hardly gets mentioned is AE SteelEdge. Found a bogo on it. Also found a good deal on Quake making it the same cost as other pres.
