Only thing interesting is how many of those wobbly benches they've sold. Using just flat tube as a foot requires both the tube and floor to be pretty flat for a stable bench, neither are likely. Adding the feet changes to four contact points, greatly increasing the likelihood of being stable.

Not really. The most stable platform is a tripod.
If a floor is not perfectly flat, four points of contact will have wobble. With three points of contact, there will not be any wobble regardless of any unevenness of the floor.
If the single foot is not perfectly flat, the lowest point will contact the floor. That bottom foot should be sufficiently rigid that it does not flex. With a flat bench, there should not be any lateral force above the single foot, which is where the lifter's feet should be. Any lateral force should be applied at the other end, which is where stability is needed. Don't want the bench tipping while bench pressing.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

Move on if you think it's an issue. Is this actually a big deal? Maybe their floor wasn't level? Did you see the price on this bench?? This thing has three legs. There is absolutely zero chance that it's not solid even if that front foot was shaped like a "U". Again, did you see the price on this???

I shopped and researched tons of options including Craigslist. I decided on this and do not regret it. I ALMOST went with their $900-plus version but after a lot of research this one is solid and in some ways better than the $900 version. Just depends on how you are planning to use it.
Side fact: I found this review (actually an explanation) on YouTube and called the guy out on it. First he replied saying he wanted his clients to see how to adjust it (which a monkey can adjust this thing) and then about a day later removed the video. If I remember right it was up for at least 2 years.Crossfit = A LOT of doctor visits.

Alright, ordered the FB-5000 couple of hours ago. Could not wait for the reviews. If Mech magically comes back then it would be killer
Duke,
as per the grippy vinyl pad vs fat pad , can we wait to inform you guys until you have them stock. I have not made up my mind yet.[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]

Thanks. Makes sense. Will send e-mail to stated e-mail address with my order no. If i go i will go with fat pad. The question is do i want 12" pad or 15" pad? Not really concerned about the grippy nature of vinyl. It is not like i am benching 405 or something.
I should have waited to combine this with the new SS bar. But now still debating on new SS bar.[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]

In your opinion, what is the benefit of a 4 foot design bench compared to a 3 foot design? I asked Mech6 about this at some point and he mentioned that a 4-foot design can be more cost effective if its symmetrical. But in terms of functionality, even a 4 foot Nebula isn't immune to slight wobbliness on a less than level floor.

My opinion, experience, and personal preference YMMV....
3 foot is fine for dedicated barbell BP, it's also the most likely to be stable on wavy floors.
I prefer 4 foot for DB work, general utility bench. Examples, I've had 3 foot try to dump me during DB row and flat press. During rows I was at the single leg end, bench tipped. For press I sat down about half a butt cheek off center (I kick DB into place like a man, ) and again it tipped. Neither incident ended in a wreck, but I have no confidence in that arrangement.
I see merit in both designs.SQ 475# 5/26/17 wraps
