    Diet Pepsi

What's up guys, I have what may be a stupid question. I've been IF for about a month and have made great progress (even with cheating. Occasionally HEAVY) and I'm going to Vegas in 9 days so I'm really pushing hard to lose as much fat as possible through HIIT and strict IF (absolutely no cheating like before). I shoot for 1500-1800 calories between
9\10am - 5/6pm. I love Diet Pepsi and it helps me curb my cravings greatly so the question is, can I drink diet Pepsi at least a few times per week (~40 oz. on those days) without any negative effects. Also if any of you have tips on what else I can do to lose even more weight (yes I know it's only 9 days but every little bit helps) that'd be great. Thank guys.

So let me get this straight. You've been drinking diet pepsi consistently and during this time you've felt fine and have been losing weight appropriately. But you're asking whether it's ok to consume diet pepsi. I believe you can answer your own question here no?

yeah....educate yourself on nutrition (google/ the stickies can help you with that and answering your diet soda question). don't stress about trying to restrict for Vegas...do you have a competition coming up or make money from your body?? cause if not, then just enjoy yourself and look fwd to Vegas....there is my tip.

Diet Pepsi isn't really healthy for you because of the artificial sweeteners in it, like aspartame.

pop quiz: how much aspartame would a human need to consume to match the levels used in rodent studies? I'll wait...

The FDA approves aspartame, recommending a maximum daily intake of 50 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.
Coke zero was around ~60mg per 12oz(355ml).
If you are 80kg, good luck to you drinking 28.4 litlres of coke daily for a years..

    I could probably do that.

That aside, diet soda is my vice. I drank 3 cans a day plus god knows how many fountain sodas at work during contest prep right up until peak week. Kept me out of a lot of other sweet stuff.

Yes it is. Provided you consume a pound a day of pure sweetener

[/QUOTE]You won't make enough progress in 9 days to be noticeable so don't go to extremes attempting to attempt to do so
