    Rogue rhino belt squat modifications

Anyone here tried attaching their rhino belt squat to their power rack to be able to use it as a lat pull down as well?

I was looking at mine and measuring and I feel like I could buy 2 24” lower crossmembers and mount it to the side of my rack (platform first, weight trolley behind). If I do this I could add a simple pulley on the top crossmember of the rack like the SPUD, route the cable through the pulley and down to the carabiner on the belt squat and then be able to use it for lat pull downs. (For good measure I might even add the Monster leg rollers to each upright to slide my legs under)

Anyone tried this? If so, did it work?

Coop from Garage Gym Review did this. Even had the same idea about the leg rollers.

I’m too new so I can’t post links, so search for Garage Gym Reviews Dream Rack on YouTube.

Basically, that's the hack, get the 24in crossmember and attach the Slinger. That said, the Slinger won't be centered to the rack, it will be off by 2in because of how the Slinger attaches to the crossmember. Coop mentions this I believe in his video, if not, he mentioned it to me when I was messaging him about doing this very thing. I will say that I have heard from a pretty reliable source, not Coop, that Rogue apparently was going to have a 24in Slinger package that would connect the Rhino overhead on the 24in portion. I would assume that Rogue would find a way to center the Slinger in doing so as well, at least I would hope.

I’m going to have to do it a little different. I don’t have height to mount the slinger up top. I’m trying to find someone who can fabricate me two simple brackets in an L shape to mount a pulley that is centered up top and bolt to the underside of my top crossmember (sort of like the spud but just a nicer look that bolts to the rack crossmember) Once I do that I will be good I think and for less $ than the slinger.

Pretty sure you bench and do other barbell work on the outside using the spotter arms for safety.

They use a 6 post rack. Might still be difficult to incline bench, but monolift attachments help with that.

On another note, if the slinger is too tall, this might be a good substitute https://surplusstrength.com/

Can confirm, flat bench works fine but with the Rep AB-5000 I have to either incline outside the rack or face in on my outer posts.

EDIT: To clarify, this is with a Rogue RM-6.

Well you can probably bench bit not do incline do to the rhino platform been in the way there is only about 4" of space between platform and front uprights of rack.
Somebody inbuoutube said this bench will solve that problem Hoist 5167 bench

So can you bench, incline with Ab 5000 outside of 24" rack with Rhino belt squat in the way? Iam thinking about getting the 24" rack with Rhino belt squat and adding a surplus strengh ups to do lat pull downs with rhino..however this will be my only rack so I would like to know if I can bench, incline outside 24" rack.??? I don't think there is a way to do incline do to rhino platform getting in the way there is only about 4" of space between platform and front rack uprights
