Hi everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for providing awesome feedback on these forums. After much debate, I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Vectra VFT-100, CL listing. Thanks to Domicron, UrbanLifter, CliveWarren, Stasher1, Hardgains88 and others for the help and advise. I'm so happy to finally be on my way to putting together my home gym. Originally posted questions in The Cheapo Setup thread, but since I picked this up in CL, I suppose it doesn't qualify for Cheapo. Though, I did pick up for $1500, including bench and all accessories imaginable. Looking ahead to Power Rack. Got my eyes on a Elitefts, bench, bar & 450# minimum - CL listing. Oh, boy!

guy is advertising this as a legend 3 way, but its obviously a 4 way without the leg hold down.
does this loook like an older version because 1)the pop pins are black and i see no recent examples of anything but yellow and 2) the padding looks thinner than any of the current models.
what is a fair value if i were going to purchase this (assuming everything operates as it should)?

my personal take is that $250-300 is a very fair price to pay for a great condition used commercial bench. obviously this depends on the market and if it's a particularly sought after model, but i think it's fair to say that for most markets, at $300 a good bench won't last long

Those pads look really thin to me and the front legs look wide, don't they use a smaller front foot design? Part of me almost thinks it's a knock off with a legend sticker on it but I doubt that's the case; may just be an older style or it the angle of the photo may make it look like the front feet are wider than they really are.
Given everything I said above I'd still check it out if the price isn't crazy{5'7" and under #1}

I picked up an older version of a Legend 3103. The old pads were super soft. When I sat on the bench I bottomed out on the pad. I bought new pads from Legend for about $90. No shipping because the factory is just down the road from me.
From the angle of the pictures it is difficult to determine how thick the pads are. My new pads are just under 3 inches thick and very firm.
As long as the pads are as firm as you want, I say go for it. But if the pads are too soft, factor in the replacement cost in the price.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

Legend sold. I would not have paid the $250 he was asking without the leg hold down and wanting to spend $150 to get new pads.
This Maxicam bench is local. I had a really quick look at it as I was short on time. I think its a Maxicam 3022. Anyone have experience with the bench. Pretty sure I can get it for under $100.

I have a similarly constructed bench, except it has wheels and a handle. It weighs almost 90 lbs. I love it.
If the Maxicam bench is so light that it does not need wheels, then it is not worth having. If it is that heavy, you will miss the wheels and handle unless you plan on keeping it in only one place in your gym.
Either way, I would pass.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

nothing wrong per se. as a dumbbell only bench, i really prefer something that hits more angles. I sold it for a gain. its crazy what people will pay for used rogue stuff. i have enough other benches and id just prefer to to find a commercial quality bench at closer to $200 or less. i dont need new and pretty.
if i could find a freakin cybex 5435 anywhere id be a happy camper for quite a while.Last edited by dskoo65; 09-30-2017 at 09:03 PM.

I did lift one end of it and it really didnt feel hefty. it would be a dumbbell bench only and wouldnt get moved much anyway. i like the design where the pad is supported completely by a wide frame when flat somewhat like the cybex 5435. if i can get him down to $60-$70 it might be worth grabbing .

As somebody who finally just got rid of his preacher curl bench, they are not a marketable as you'd think, there a dime a dozen and i dont think that dip machine is much good, okay for burn out sets, the back pad would ideally be angled slightly so you could lean over, and it would at minimum need a seatbelt if not leg attachment if you'd load this up, i prefer just a normal dip.
