Rogue Power Rack with Westside Hole Spacing

Just curious if those of you that own a Rogue Power rack with Westside hole spacing in the middle like it or is more of a pain if the holes aren't numbered and really the 1" spacing isn't that necessary? I've always owned a Reflex rack with 1" holes 2" on center and am having a hard time convincing myself to get a Rogue with the Westside spacing. Any thoughts you can share would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have had RML racks and I label my settings by each lift. "C-B" is Chris-Bench, C-S is Chris Squat, C-I is incline etc....My kids have similar. I use a labeler with white tape and black text. I trim it and it goes right next to the appropriate hole. They stay on no issue and I prefer this to numbers by a landslide.

Here are some pictures of options people use in this thread including mine: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=172035543

In years of using this along with J cups and swing in safeties I've had two labels fall off. Both were within a week or so of initial application so it would seem that once they are on - they stay. Plus very easy to remove/move and print a new one to adjust.

Although I don't have a Rogue, I have the Titan T-3 that has the westside spacing. I did something similar to C123C, where I labeled the holes for bench and squat. I think westside spacing is overkill and preferred the 2" spacing on my old rack....but some people love it.

Do you no longer own the Reflex rack? If so, what are your reasons for wanting to replace with a Rogue?

My Reflex Rack was 8' tall too high for my new garage in Texas and found somebody that really wanted it since I was moving from IL to TX. Hated to sell it cuz it was fully loaded 6 post rack with a Monolift from Mech6, safety straps, monkey bars, indexing chin handles, dip stand, etc but since I was moving from a 6 car garage to a 3 it just would of taken up too much space in new garage. I don't think I could of even fit it on my u-haul since I have several other pieces of equipment I was moving that would of been harder to replace like a Pit Shark Belt Squat, Bear Squat, Atlantis Shoulder press, EliteFTS 45 hyper, Reflex Reverse Hyper, Powernetics Power Trainer and a Real Runner. Did have to sell my Westside Reverse Hyper just too big a footprint. Reflex was kind of a "Wow" rack and probably will scale back my next rack. Rogue seemed like the logical choice since they have some many options in their racks and alot are in stock. I just don't want to wait 6-8 weeks to get one built. I might consider Titan too but the condition their GHD arrived in I'm not so sure. I'm looking for a used power rack in the Ft. Worth area.

I love my white rack because I can use a dry erase marker to mark all the positions I use most often.

i have a drop in rack with 2 inch spacing and still label my squat and bench. it's not hard to figure out where i like them, but i've managed to remove the last ounce of thought required to swap between my main lifts.

I had the RML 390 for a while, for me this was the first and last time for Westside spacing, for my purposes, I found little or no advantage in 1" spacing, the pin and pipe safeties were inconvenient to say the least. I understand why many want the tighter hole spacing to aid with bench press, if I were in this position, I'd definitely get swing in safeties.

    Why would you downgrade?
Why not have Reflex build you a second set of j-cups that are 1" longer? Now you have 1" throughout your entire rack without the damn thing looking like Swiss cheese.

Arguably, I'd rather have 1" than 2" spacing. My experience with 1.5" spacing was great. I wish more manufacturers offered this option. I feel that a second set of j-cups is a better option unless there's some reason that you love the Rogue ecosphere over Reflex.

I'm very pleased with my Rogue RM-3 (Monster). 30" depth.. 4 post.. uhmw lined accessories (metal doesn't touch the rack).. numbered holes.. 1" holes (plenty accessories).. 2" spacing.. strap safeties.. pick your color.. Mine was delivered in something like 8-10 days with zero damage. It's no Reflex rack, but it's PLENTY nice.

This was kind of my feelings re Westside spacing. For me, safety straps is the way to go. So versatile. Once you figure out bench n squat strap positions it's all good.

I know this goes against the forums perspective on buying stuff, but I have no more ****s to give...

What is so bad with being patient & getting a properly sized Reflex rack for where you're moving to? I mean, are you worried about losing some gains? Join a gym for a little while...
Rogue is probably fine, but you're downgrading because you're not patient... idk. We're all adults here, I'd just wait.

If you're sold on rogue, I'd get the RM line. Same holes/spacing as your reflex. Same attachments.

Right, if I go the Rogue route, I figure it will be the RM-4.

I considered that but Reflex didn't think it was a good idea. I was able to sell it for full asking price so since I had space constraints in my new garage I decided to let it go. Not to mention that I don't think I would of even had room for it anyways in my u-haul. Plus the 3 post sides are welded and it's one heavy bitch to move.

Everyone knows im as Titan Friendly as an equipment snob can be, but not in this situation. If your looking to but your first rack its hands down the best inexpensive rack dollar for dollar in my opinion. If you have a rack that takes Rogue accesories, i have a high opinion of titan accessories, especially the really optional stuff you wouldnt necessarily buy at rogue prices. I have a Rogue r-4 that i bought titan weight storage and literally blinged out with every possible accessory. I really like it. It was never going to be my forever main rack though. Buying expensive rogue accesories was not justifiable because i would eventually sell or make it a second rack. The titan add ons made it easier for me to be patient looking for what i really wanted, a big old NFL style full comercial rack! I had no problem waiting around because i wasnt missing anything major functionally. At the end of the day though, you have a gym full of full commercial equipment... except the main piece, if you go Titan or Rogue. I can weld and im fairly handy (not mech 6 handy of coarse) i lag bolted that rack, hung a 1000 pounds of weight, welded up a 7 gage crossbrace with 3/8" gussets, two regular pull up bars and a multi bar, plus one rear lower brace on the weight storage. It was sturdy, but it was not ever going to be full commercial sturdy. The Rogue monster stuff is really nice, but its not all that much sturdier then the infinity stuff. In my mind, at that price you can get either a great condition full commercoal rack or the reflex or a welded legend that got a different feel.
I just finally got my forever rack, a killer buy on a used but nice condition power lift 6 post sloted rack. When i was taking it apart in the house of the guy i bought it from it wasnt even bolted to the floor and i just couldnt believe how much more substantial it felt then my fully bolted down and enhanced to the max rogue titan hybrid. And for the record,if you unbolted the titan weight storage and replaced it with genuine rogue parts, it wouldnt have made a difference.everything else in my gym is fully commercial, we all know theres a difference. Now, someone starting out, or choosing between lower priced racks, hands down , pull the trigger now on that titan and you will be happy! I wouldnt even mind buying there GHD and fiddling around, once a week its the best value and super livable. But the centerpiece of the gym for someone with a high level gym, you will notice the difference every workout i feel, rogue or titan. Now, im clearing room as we speak, my r-6 is going to be the best accessory rack in the world. Pull up day? Yup, that set up kicks but, i got every pull up option on it, may even buy the funky globe pull up rogue clone chin bar titan just came out with. Curling on arm day you say? Yup, ill still probably do the fast set up on the front safety spotter arms on that rack. But it will be and was always was destined to be my second rack. I am glad i spent $500 in Titan parts to get every last ounce of potential, it will always have more accessories then my power lift. But i am already ordering a set of $500 spotter arms and $300 reverse sandwich j cups (wish mech was still making custom parts) because even though i wouldnt spend that on an entire weight storage upgrade on the R-4, i would on a few accesiries fir the power lift. Those power lift safeties can hold a truck, and a decade later not have a bit of wiggle in them. The j cups weigh 20 pounds, that rack literally doesn't budge an inch. When people say that about a rogue monster 3" 11 gage, with Rogue standard cross braces, there speaking figuratively, not literally. Yea, mine was sturdy ass hell, but it budged a whole lot more then an inch!

I just moved to Fort Worth, Texas area from IL. I've contacted a local company, Fit Supply, b4 I moved that has a huge warehouse full of equipment. Just not any racks under 8' right now. Also just missed by hours a Rogue 490-C rack on CL here for $700. A buddy of mine in Texas, former strength coach for Pittsburgh Steelers also contacted a equipment manufacturer for me in Pa. I also found a company in Houston called Texas Power Concepts when I toured a MetroFlex Gym that makes some really stout strongman equipment, power racks, etc. So, I'm doing my due diligence since I got here couple weeks ago.
