Thanks! I’m only on Barcharts and ToS. My only exposure to cryptos is the mining companies (MARA, RIOT, etc). But now it looks like I need to understand the crypto seasonality a bit.

Curious, though...do cryptos have derivative instruments? Like with stocks, I can utilize a bunch of different option spreads...calendar spreads, fly’s, strangles, etc depending on which sentiment I want to trade. I like being able to manage my risk that way. I never hear of crypto derivatives, though.

There is a big crypto derivative market and its still on the rise. Futures, swaps, options. I cant give you anymore specifics than that because I don't dabble in it. I don't even know what exchanges would be the best to sign up to do it. Maybe Binance? You'd have to do some digging

I think I may. I always prefer derivatives. It takes emotion out of things. You trade based on logic, because you have a ticking clock.

for sure. Lotsa money to be made. You're a bit late to the party for the easy gains of this market cycle, but there's still a bunch to be squeezed out, just not as "set it and forget it" as before. If you're proficient at reading charts you should be fine. one tip, crypto loves fib levels, especially .618 and 1.618

one thing to remember, is, we're still VERY early. VERY. the average person has no fkn clue what a blockchain is, still.

That’s a shame because, IMO, the blockchain is the thing coming from the crypto movement that has the most widespread application. Even with regard to traditional banking.

I'm anxious to see if BB goes QB in Rd1. History tells me no, and I don't foresee them trading into the top 10, but if Fields, Lance, or Jones falls past 10, I see them trading up. I would prefer Lance over any of them.

Unbiased opinion is that he’s a tremendous athlete who, with the right QB coach/passing game coordinator and offensive scheme, could make the Pats a pretty disruptive force.

Problem is, I don’t know if McDaniels is it. The Pats would be much better off with their roster looking at a big confident pocket passer. You don’t have the athletes to spread all over the place that Ohio State has, and you don’t really have much of a run threat. You have a robust OLine that is designed to work with designed routes.

If Mac Jones somehow falls to them, that’s your guy. But at 15, I don’t see it happening. IMO, hope for Paye (not being a homer - dude is a freak!), Parsons or Oweh (another complete freak!).

I should also throw in, that if everyone goes skill position nuts before them and someone like Surtain falls to them - that’s a no-brainer. I can see him falling to 15 and he’s probably the best CB to come out in years.

this was pretty spot on actually

the best drop back pocket passer in the draft, falls all the way to 15, after being hyped to go #3, and the Pats didnt even have to trade up for him. I will take it. Like you said, best QB fit for our system of those top 5 QBs taken. Gets to chill behind a monstrous o-line, has a good to great running game, and Jonnu smith + hunter henry are the legit perfect pieces for him to carve up the middle of the field.

Ever since Nixon took us off the gold standard, USD has only been worth whatever people say it is. So at this point, trying to apply functional economic theory to it is kind of laughable. The USD hasn’t followed any rules since 1971, lol.

The only thing that ever goes on. Supply and demand. Right now, housing inventory is low and lots of people are finding themselves working from home...a consideration they didn’t make when they bought the home they are in. Prices flying up and you have to do downright dumb things to get your offer accepted.

This carries over to lumber. Builders and remodelers are swamped and there is a run on lumber. Low interest rates and housing shortage put a premium on renovations and new home builds.

It all ripples through the economy. At the end, it’s all just supply and demand. All it takes to pop is one domino to fall. If home buyers cool off, or lumber prices stabilize...if builders start using ICF’s or something - it all comes tumbling down.

I don’t love Real Estate after the fed starts raising rates. Precious metals are usually safe. Crypto is very intriguing. Especially the POS alts. I’m also wondering if LTC is ready to start blowing up? Crypto is just kind of wild, Wild West - and offers all kinds of possibilities. I wish I knew more about it than I do!

I can relate to this. We’ve been outbid on a couple of houses and the prices asked for what you actually get have made us start looking elsewhere. The worst are the out of state buyers snatching up everything and pricing locals out of the market.
