I have been cutting for only ~2 months with one week off due to work travel.
I have managed to lose 10 lbs in these 2 months, going from 196-186. I was 215 a couple more months before that. I know 10 lbs in 2 months is good, especially with a week off, but for some reason my brain just doesn't agree.
I feel like I should magically have abs by now, I can't even see the top 2 even when flexing.
Fukkin chit feels like I have at least 2-3 months before I even START to see abs.
Will post pics when I can but someone talk some fukkin sense into me...srs

Yes I am, and definitely do not have a severe lack of muscle. I have enough that I can see now that I would be happy with losing just a couple more bf% to see those abs. Then of course I will be lean bulking to actually put on some solid muscle.
I know I am not "weak", but definitely on the weaker side. I have deadlifted 315 for reps before and also leg pressed 600+. Bench has never been good though. Bicep curls 1 arm 45/50 lbs with strict form for 5-10. I have lanky dimensions and small wrists/hands which do make it hard for me to lift heavy though.

OK. I'm not trying to pick on you.
You say you can't see ANY abs, even when flexing. So, how low do you think you'll have to go? 170? 40 years ago, completing my senior year of high school. I was 6' 3" and 167. I don't think an extra 3 pounds is going to make that much difference from what I looked like...
You lack muscle mass.

Stay loyal to the plan you originally made because it is obviously working. People who are trying to lose weight often don't meet their goal because they get frustrated. Dont be one of those people who quit. You will look back at it and be proud of yourself to have kept working and reached your goal

Progress is always slow.
But progress is also progress.
The longer you train the slower progress gets.
The slower progress gets, the bigger the challenge becomes.
And also, the sport is very hard mentally, physically and nutritionally.
The body doesn't want to change, never. So you're on the internet for good advice, here's some good advice: have a good laugh once in a while. And never tear your bicep!
