I like Colbert. Being able to take the pi$$ out of any politicians regardless whether they are left or right should always be seen as a democratic right ( and most of them deserve it anyway). And Trump is just a gift that keeps on giving.

Saw the You Tube of the episode. My impression mostly matches yours. Colbert interrupted him too often, it would have been a more informative interview otherwise.
