    Need some advice. Bulk? Cut?

    I'm 23, 5'10.5" about 180ish, and I'm guessing 22-24% bodyfat? Maybe? You be the judge.

    I've been lifting weights for about 8 months (probably like 6 months with good nutrition).

    Pics provided. I've never been fit. Do you think cutting, and seeing my progress will help motivate me? I also like the idea of doing calisthenics, and I've heard that's easier with a lower BF%. I feel like I'm becoming a fatass, but I also don't wanna cut if it's going to hinder progress. I'd like some advice. What should I do now? Should I cut or keep bulking?

    Start cutting, your bodyfat percentage is right around 20%. Get down to around 165lbs or so, than repeat process. Aim for gaining strength and doing it slowly you will see results. Calisthenics involve you using your bodyweight only, don't do this. Gain strength using big compound movements and add weight to the bar. Weighted pullups and dips are fine though

    Thanks. Should I switch to being just above maintenance? Because I feel like I'm just getting way too fat.

    What are you eating now for your calories? Number 1 mistake people make is dropping calories way too fast. If you just came off a bulk eating 500 calories above maintence. Go 1-2 weeks eating at maintence than go 500 below. If you go 1000 calories below you will suffer

    I eat about 300 grams of carbs, about 180 grams of protein and 100 grams of fat a day.

    Also, what body parts should I work on based on the pics? I feel like my chest SUCKS, and lags behind everything else. I'm only able to bench press 2 60 lb dumbells for like 3-5 reps. Weak ****.

    Try benching 35s like I could do. That's weak, not you.
    Squat- 220lbs x5
    Leg Press- 536lbs x6
    Bench- 160lbs x5
    Deadlift- 255lbs x7
    Military Press- 100lbs x5

    Everyone starts somewhere man. And a lot of the guys here started just benching the bar. Don't believe me, there's threads about it. And your chest looks pretty broad for a bench of 120. I think you could do more. Keep good form of course, but just bust your ass.

    I started benching the bar lol... Have to start some where, and especially when you don't know how to retract your scapula, and stabilize yourself.


    Also you need to cut bro, you are at least in the 20%'s
