One of the best of the mid-late '90s. Like Arnold said, Mike had "No weak points." One of the best backs on a white guy, right up there with Dorian and Fux.

you're right in saying that he had no real weaknesses. It's a shame his career had to end when it did. He definitely had more potential than Fux (2/3 guys who could rival Dorian in the back department till Ronnie started to get it together).

By the '97 Olympia Mike already knew he was sick, but not to what extent. He was off at the '97 O because he was on strong catabolic steroids.

The judges kept telling Clairmonte he wasn't coming in big enough, so he came in way heavier in '97 but wasn't nearly as sharp. Arms were massive, though

Another one of the guys who was big on the scene when I first started buying the magazines in the late 90's. Killer physique, he did well in the pro ranks for the short time he was competing. Shame he got so sick. Kind of a shooting star.
