To be real for a minute here,
I only have a couple true close friends. And one who is close enough for me to see who is a female. I really want to expand and meet people. It's just so hard to fit it in with studying, work, and lifting, and chores but I want to make an attempt. Where can I meet people and make friends. I'm no longer in college and work is filled with people way above my age (seniors 60 yrs old+) for the most part while I'm just about to turn 19 in September. I know this sounds pathetic and chit but I want to have my first REAL girlfriend. And I want to know what's it's like to go out clubbing on a Saturday night. Or go camping. Or go bowling. Or just hang out with a bunch of cool people doing something togather than staying at home and fukking around alone in my spare time jerking it to pr0n and then misc ing...
I WANT TO MAKE MY LIFE MORE INTERESTING
most of the people I knew were never really my friends just a bunch of d*cks who laughed at me when my weight was an issue. And the people who were cool moved far or life happened and separated us to different ways. Thus, only a few friends now and one who I actually talk to. I feel so lonely and depressed about this even though I know I'm improving my life by working , studying, doing other things like working out. But the lack of a social life and never having truly dated someone is killing me.
Go ahead make jokes on Alts. But I'm looking for some helpful advice ITT please for god sake. I'm sure this thread will be useful to not only me...

You already going to the gym, talk to other gym goers, talk to people in your commute, go to a cafe and talk to people in the line, a book store, just strike conversation with strangers about weather or compliment their clothing/hair ask for advice on such evem if you don't need it just to spark a convo. Good luck OP!

Join a combat sport gym OP. I have never seen a more competitive yet welcoming environment until I started training Muay Thai. Makes a lot of friends too who try to encourage and help each other get better. I highly recommend it.

This is all good stuff
Also what he said ^^^
Also I recommend you to pick some kind of niche or subculture that you naturally gravitate towards (usually based on a music genre you love) and get involved with it. The last thing you want to be is Mr generic in your style, interests and tastes. You'll meet a lot of people by becoming part of a local scene if you live in a decent area...... Don't be afraid to try new things srs
Unpopular opinion but if your goal is to maximise your social life spending more time than necessary at the gym is in direct conflict with that. People outside of lifting culture see it as a boring, vain and solitary pursuit. Don't get me wrong lifting is awesome but it's not a good culture for introverts/outcasts to immerse themselves in imo, do what you need to most efficiently get results then go do something else
Think of some kind of artistic pursuit you'd like to pursue (music/art/writing/photography etc). Everyone has a talent for something and if you become somewhat skilled and connected (especially with music) it can be a great way to meet like minded people
Finally do everything you can to develop an extroverted, fun and outgoing personality (very hard for some but it is possible)
Don't worry about not having a gf yet. The worst thing you can do is become some ******* FA crying about it. You're young, give it some time and effort and it'll happenGymnastics / Oly Lifting / BJJ / Kickboxing /

You're only 19 mate and just out of school no one has all their **** together by then just focus on yourself and be a good person to others. Not saying I always did this but people gravitate to you when you do. Travel is also one of the best things you can do but not always possible in someone's situation. **** waiting in line at a book shop or something....
