FT would get my vote over a leg piece if I had to choose between them. The Rogers Hip Press and Power Squat Pro are at the top of my list for leg pieces, but I would grab the Atlantis pivot press if it came my way in the meantime. I haven't used the Atlantis, but I have used the Cybex pivot press and still prefer the Rogers pieces.

I've never used the Atlantis Pivot Press or the Rogers pieces, but would love to try all of them. Here. In the UK Atlantis and Rogers Athletic pieces are extremely rare, however according to HealthNutMD in the Cost NO Object thread the Panatta Leg Press Bridge and the Atlantis Pivot Press are pretty much functionally identical, I have used the Panatta on several occasions and it's times better than any other leg press that I've used.
I do have a Panatta Power Squat, I think The Power Squat would be a great addition and is more versatile than a pivot press.

2021 New evolution to the gym.
I have sold the Assault air bike and bought a Concept 2 rower last month. I was missing the bike for warming up and for steady state.
Just added a Concept 2 bikeerg. That thing is fantastic and compared to the Assault, it is so quiet, just a fan noise!

Alex, another excellent piece.
Some years ago I thought your gym was perfect, but it's actually getting much better.
I can at least match you for C2 RowErg and SkiErg. Faultless machines.
If you decide to get into the numbers they throw out, you'll appreciate that all three C2 machines use the same calculations and display. (Although power output is not same for mechanical reasons)

Yes, I split the time about 50/50% between the RowErg and the SkiErg.
My training is more on the endurance side, so I use them quite a bit.
SkiErg is good for almost any type of training. I use it for everything from 20'' intervals to 2h steady state.
It's very complementary to the rower and the bicycle. For example, if you're struggling for motivation to do 60' of cardio, it will be much easier to do 3x20' on each machine.

Power Rack Brand???
Bro,
Congrats on your superb gym. I’m starting out with mine trying to remodel an area to start building out the gym. In the meantime I’m making a list of equipment I’d like to buy. Could you please share what brand your power rack is and where I can order from?
Thanks in advance!

My garage half rack was custom made by a local builder who was here on bb.com who is no longer building any stuff. I recommend Rogue monster racks who are in my opinion the best for the price and they have lots of attachments available! Good luck with your project!

I liked it! It is a quality piece. The leg extensions are great and leg curls are good too. It is fully adjustable, back rest front to back, the knee pad has various settings. The only thing i did not like was the upholstery that is not as other normal equipment, it is still great quality but does not fit other machines from other manufacturers.
I have only changes it because I had a chance to change it for 2 separate pieces from Atlantis for a total of 400$ total for the swap.
I think it is a great buy. Even new, the price is good.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #54 []---[]

The hoist dual series leg ext/curl combo is a great one too... the price is similar to the BS but the quality is a bit better

sure is a nice piece. I did end up going with a tuff-stuff combo unit from a local dealer. should be in about a month or so. Its a plate loaded version. takes up a bit less room and a bit simpler all around. I have a bodysolid cam combo too. I may keep it for the seated leg curl, which I lke. the extension part was just ok.

Home gym evolution december 2023
Hey guys, since it all has started here and I have went thru the evolution here, I think it is essential to share here where I am right now more than 2 years since the last update. A lot has happened especially this year, the most part of what I was dreaming for a long time has finally happened; Ivanko dumbbells have replaced the old Yorks, a pendulum squat, some Atlantis pieces were added to the gym… So enough talking, let’s see the setup!

Awesome gym and awesome that you came back to give us an update. Those Ivankos are sweet. A couple of years ago, I swapped my adjustable dumbbells for a wall of pairs (Intek Kraft Steel) and couldn't be happier. There isn't an adjustable dumbbell on the market (yet) that truly replicates the feel and convenience of grabbing what you want off the rack. If you have the space, it's a luxury worth the investment IMO.
Merry Christmas!▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #79 ▪█─────█▪
