Hi,
I have just started cutting and am looking to add cardio to help with my caloric deficit. I also have really regressed in terms of cardiovascular fitness over the past few years and can barely run a couple km without gassing.
I currently have a home gym with the only piece of equipment being a concept 2 rower.
I was thinking of replacing this with a Life Fitness 95T refurbished treadmill. There is a dealer here in the UK who will provide the treadmill fully refurbished for £2800 (includes full cosmetic refurb but can get for cheaper without this).
Do you guys think I should sell the rower and get the treadmill? I have used the 95T before at a gym and it was a solid machine.
Thanks

I don't know anything about cardio machines, but i'd say if the price seems fair and you have the space for it, get it. you have the advantage of having used it in person so you know what you're getting. the rower is pretty nice; i wouldn't get rid of it unless you absolutely have to, or if you don't like rowing as cardio.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

I wouldn't get rid of the rower either......you can easily get parts and fix it yourself, it doesn't use electricity, and doesn't take up a ton of space. You can also get a killer workout with it.
I'm personally not crazy about treadmills--they take a lot of space, and I find that they change my stride when I run on them. That said, lots of other folks love them, so take my statement with a grain of salt.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #29 []---[]

I would not trade the rower for a treadmill - you can walk/run almost anywhere and the Concept2 is excellent for HIIT training.
Perhaps you could get a bicycle? And find a nearby building with a large stairwell that you can walk up/down?Pro Strongman & Former National Champion

I also live in the UK and I think you can buy that treadmill cheaper, there are several companies refurbing Life Fitness cardio machines, so shop around, I bought my 95T about 5 years ago, used condition for £900, never had an issue with it, great treadmill.
Like others have already said, keep the C2, due to severe tendonitis, a sports injury specialist recommended that I should stop rowing, so I had to sell my model E, I still miss it, but not the tendonitis.

Don't forget that you can also do barbell complexes, KB swings, etc. I recently read something about doing 20 KB swings, then drop into a plank position long enough to take 10 breaths, then 20 swings, then plank, etc for however many rounds you want to do.

That rower is a gold standard for cardio. No clue why you would want to get rid of it. Personally I have a rower, treadmill, and heavy bag for cardio. The rower would probably be the last one i would get rid of.
Plenty of alternatives for cardio if you dont have room for more equipment. Even low weight high rep olympic lifts will kick your cardio butt.
