Nice pics Daz, anymore of them?
3 weeks and we leave for our National Lampoon European Vacation but I always need another trip planned in addition so have a 3 night trip setup over Valentines in Atlanta. Want to check out the aquarium among other sights."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

In Munich now for Oktoberfest & siteseeing. Opening day was today & as expected it’s a zoo, I have never seen this many people in 1 spot. Quite honestly it’s a giant state fair with oversized rides which are expensive at an average of $6 euro each and massive beer tents/halls which the larger ones hold 9000+ people.
Hitting up Castle Neuschwanstein tomorrow & possibly Dachau concentration camp Monday. Leaving Tuesday for Prague. Have pics but can’t post here from my phone.
I did install one of the Orange brand international SIM cards when I got here, working great & no need to worry about a massive phone bill."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

Back from Europe and will post a few quick shots here.
This is a shot of the the ovens at Dachau concentration camp, they would hang the victims in front of the oven they would eventually end up in. You read about the crap the nazi's did in WW2 but until you are there and can witness the rooms these people were in, all the memorials to the dead, etc you can't truly comprehend how fukkin sick & twisted these bastards were.
The gas chamber at Dachau
Rudas thermal spa in Budapest, we weren't allowed photos in this part which is from the 1500's so I had to steal this from the web.....awesome place.
View from inside one of the Oktoberfest tents, the entire festival grounds looked like this on staurday.
Glockenspiel in Munich
Pragues Dancing House

On the Danube river in Budapest looking at Parliament
Budapest Castle
Down into the Labyrinth beneath Budapest castle hill, its a 6 mile long maze that was a prison back in the middle ages and supposedly held Vlad the Impaler aka Dracula for 10 years.
Unveiling of the Astronomical clock in Prague after months of refurbishing.

I have a few night shots I really like. Saw a ton of stuff as well as 2 zoos, we went to the Prague & Budapest zoos both of which were excellent. They both had open rooms for the bats so they could just fly all around you. The flying foxes were awesome as they are really big bats and use sight instead of echolocation to get around. Then we had the primate building at Budapest where the Lemurs are free to do whatever they want. Was cool petting them & then one decided he liked the taste of the leftover chimney cake on her fingers so he was licking them.
Me petting one.
He likes the taste.
Small local Hungarian restaurant, this is veal with gnoochi which is supposedly traditional meal, it was great

Ever see a Paternoster? Also known as a death elevator. There are a few of these in Prague and its cool, basically an elevator with no doors that never stops, just hop in and off you go. No way to stop it so if you have an arm or leg hanging out kiss it goodbye. Things go around in a loop and at the top & bottom they move sideways which is freaky when you are in it.
check out a video of onehttps://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=paternoster&&view=detail&mid=C0CE2A5B500C 094A91D2C0CE2A5B500C094A91D2&&FORM=VRDGAR"You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

Have 3 trips booked for 2019 2 of which are just extended weekends. Flying to Atlanta in Feb for valentines day and wife wants to see the Georgia Aquarium. Then June we hit up Salt Lake City but actually staying in Park City, both of these trips are just 3 nights each.
Today I booked a week in NYC for sept and staying right in the heart of the theater district with Times Square being a 3 minute walk away. Been all over the world but haven't been closer than 25 miles to NYC so figured why not?"You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Just got back from Rhodes, eating squid, climbing hills/mountains, spelunking, admiring OLD architecture....
Next few are Lindos Acropolis
Spelunking
This place was great to visit, its where two seas meet, the calm Mediterranean on the left, and the rough Aegean Sea on the right!!

I visited my buddy on Lawong Island this weekend. He took me into the "City" for a day trip on Sunday. First time to Manhattan for me. We took a train to Penn Station and hung out in that area first. We also went to the Washington Square and Times Square areas.
It wasn't as crowded as I expected. It was pretty easy to move around both walking and the subway. Learn how to read the subway destination and time schedule boards. Taxis are everywhere.
The people were nice. The restaurant food is expensive. The pizza sucks. Street vendor food is everywhere (we had duck and cucumber sammiches) which were great and served by some asian cuties.
For me, the best thing was the girl watching. The diversity of women there is incredible.[]---[] Equipment crew member #51 []---[]

Hawk sculpture outside the Mercedes Benz stadium which is a damn nice venue.
Took a tour of the stadium which was neat, got to check out Arthur Blanks personal suite which is 2 stories tall and right on the 50 yd line, overall a great place.
Supposedly the vault which holds the recipe for Coca Cola.
