Are there even such things as 'mass building exercises' or are they all bull****. Many fitness personalities include 'to build mass' or [insert muscle] exercises for mass. Is it bull**** though?
There are ways you can train to pump a lot of blood in your muscle at the end of a workout. Say you do bench/dumbell press/incline ect, you can do flys at the end of your workout for a higher ammount of reps to push a lot of blood into your chest.
I don't recall hearing about mass building exercises particularly. The basic agenda to build muscle is to break them and when they get repaired, they are bigger and stronger. Google about Hypertrophy in bodybuilding, you may get what you want
Heavy compound lifts. E.g. Squat, deadlift, bench, OHP etc.
The only thing that will really build "mass" is the surplus you're in. These exercises target more than one muscle group, so it is more beneficial to incorporate them into your regime, hitting more muscle groups means more fibres that are breakpoint down, and in return, building more muscle.
