Clearly the man should keep doing X, regardless of what others say.

Sometimes you need to get your own experience of something to make a decision, no one else can tell you vanilla tastes better than strawberry.

Guy lifts weights in an unorthodox way and gets better results than when he lifts in an orthodox way that others agree should give better results. Should that man stop lifting in the way that gives him greater results and instead start lifting in the way others agree should give him greater results?
na because people can be wrong but think they are right. or they are getting results, but falsely attributing it to something. things like eating food, working out are not relative at all. they work or they dont. this isnt story interpretation where everyone can have an opinion. if anything, by your logic the guy who looks the same doing P90x but feels good is doing a routine just as effective as texas method, which is bull

Been IFing (16-8) for awhile now. However, I have recently incorporated a 24 hour fast once a week and I can definitely say it has helped. Last week was the first week I managed to do two 24 hour fasts. At the end of the day, you just gotta do what works for you and your schedule.

16/8 in my opinion, is good as a daily eating habit. It's not really hard to eat at 7 PM and hold off until 11 A

You'll get much better results if you do

1-2 2 hour fasts a week, like the Eat Stop Eat program. What's good about these, is you use up the glugacon which is released into the bloodstream as glucose. It's a much more manageable fast than a 36-40 hour fast.

Ideally going the full day 36-40 hours is best. Free fatty acids are at 5 x at the 32 hour mark, might as well burn them off.

40 hours is a mental exercise. If you want to get rid of bloat and water, do one fast every one or two weeks. I'd suggest once a week because, it's like exercising, if you haven't done it in a while it's harder.

When you finish your fast, take it really easy on what you stuff in your face, because your digestive system might work a little bit quicker if you decide to have a free for all eating wise

I have tried IF and while in the last couple of hours of fasting you feel empty , light , and depleted its strangely satisfying . But it just wasn't for me... the biggest & leanest I have ever been was carb cycling with 5-6 meals a day... but hey.. whatever works for you... give it 100% and some type of results are sure to be had.

My parents have done this as long as I've been alive (fasting at least a couple times a year to once a month) and I'm telling you, my mother literally does not age. So I mean I can't get in a lab and say it works but they're very healthy. I also did it for a while and generally like to fast whenever I get sick and find that it's a lot easier to heal the body in a fasted state. I gotta be careful about doing it though just because I can get into an unhealthy mindset. I think adding a fast a week or doing IF would probably be mostly beneficial if you're still hitting weekly calorie requirements.
