    Angry Lower back pain

Hey guys, new to the forum.

I've scanned through and read a few threads about lower back pain but not many relate to mine.

About 2 years ago i buldged my l5, unaware of how i actually did it. I've went to doctors, chiro's, physio and specialists, none who have removed the pain completely. The specialist recommended some physio who was absolutely terrible, a 5 year old could do better. Chiro seems to have some temporary relief but after a day or two the pain is back again. The physio has given me some stretches to do but too be honest they put me in way too much pain to even complete.

My pain is usually a solid ache on my right side running from my hip to sometimes as far down as my calf. Sometimes its also an ache across my whole lower back.
I'm quite active during the day as im a tradesman so i'm always on my feet, heavy lifting etc. I played soccer for 15 years but had to stop due to the injury, ever since then my hamstrings have tightened up an insane amount to what they used to be which is probably expected.

What's my next step? I need some advice. Im 23 years old, 187cm and 90 kgs. Looking at dropping some weight to see if that takes some pressure off my back. Is building up the flexibility in my hamstrings the way to go? Building up the strength of my back in the gym? None of the places ive been too for advice has really advised too much exercising, just to come in and pay some more money for the same treatment..

    Thanks guys.

Probably will need to have surgery. I know the feeling. I have had a fusion at L5-S1. I am doing good for the most part, but would like to get suggestions on what type of work outs will strengthen the area. Good luck with your issue.

Sounds like sciatica. The short answer is that the cure is doing two Yoga Asanas:

    Cow Face Pose https://www.yogajournal.com/poses/cow-face-pose

    Monkey Pose https://www.yogajournal.com/poses/monkey-pose

You don't have to achieve the full pose. Whatever you can do, is the pose. Be gentle. Never force.

The long answer is a sad story about all the people I met who had sciatica for years and years with only ever temporary relief.
