I can't care about stats in this game too many of my homies are butt at this game and I'm playing alot of cross play with my Xbox friends I left behind when I built my pc.

I still manage to do alright tho 24 percent win ratio with a 3.4 k/d in squads, around 90 wins between squads and duos for season 3 so far.

I've only been playing about 3 weeks now I think so only about 2 weeks of actually being good at the game and 1 week of learning how the fuk to play and how to map my building buttons.

You will get wrecked. This is your scenario, you are running around and get shot at. Standard Fortnite move, build cover around you...so you can't get shot. You don't build, you die. I've seen some very good people (IMO) who aren't professional builders though, just build enough for cover/getting the high ground. The building can be as crazy or as simple as you like. I personally don't build the 9 story towers you sometimes see people build, it's just not my jam.

It depends on your budget.

I've had two of the Microsoft Stereo Headsets... very very good quality. Just not that durable. I suppose if you take care of them better than me, you're good.

I replaced them with some Astro A10s. Worse quality but they get the job done. I've heard the best bang for your buck on the market right now is going to be the hyper cloud.

Unless you end up in a build fight, anything more than 1x1x3 is a liability anyway. People that build those 2x2x8s with a 4x4 top layer are just wasting mats.

Been playing this for about 3 weeks now on PS4. I wasn't really into this game at first just testing out the Solo, but that squad play got me addicted. This game really shines when you have friends or just a communicating squad to play with. Feels good fighting off multiple squads at once with your team just by calling out positions and properly flanking.

I'm still getting comfortable with the building though. I can do well enough in face to face battles putting up simple structures, but I'll eventually get wrecked by a better builder. Would like it even more if there was a cool down for jumping.

I swear you need to be a little bit on the high functioning spectrum to build some of the chit ppl do in these games during firefights lmao. Pretty fun game though even though I suck ass lol.

Imo the biggest learning curve for building is key mapping that you can really flow with. I saw alot of people used the building blinded to their mouse so I played for a couple days like that and just couldn't get used to it. Remapped building to the keyboard around wasd and building became 100x more fuild for me.

I use:

Q - stairs
E - wall
Tab - floor
Caps lock - pickaxe
B - pyramid looking build thingy
X - trap
C - crouch

def waste 2 thumb buttons for the double pump action but too used to it atm subbing with a tac post nerf.

would be nice to have more on thumbs but the mmo mouses Ive tried dont feel right with thumb constantly sitting on buttons

I don't have any building buttons mapped to keyboard, as I don't like having to take my fingers off movement keys while building, as I like building while jumping/moving around, especially in build off battles with the twitch.ttv.yt.xxx420xxx losers.


I have ramp, floor, and Q on my mouser thumb buttons.

q - walls
e - stairs
x - floor
f1 - trap
z - roof
c/ctrl - crouch
thumb mouse button 1 - pickaxe
thumb mouse button 2 - push to talk
1/2/3/4/5 - weapons/meds buttons starting with weapon slot 2.

feels weird having pickaxe as 1 and my first weapon as 2

Just learn to spam build walls when you get shot at and towers once they start reloading. Once you have flow and muscle memory, you can outplay like 90% of people. It's only the gawds you're going to get fukt by anyway.
