most of the time I run around collecting nice equipment until it gets down to under 30 people left and then die. I always get fukt 1v1, can't aim for chit. how do I get better?

i have a minute of gameplay from my first win last night i want to upload guys were shooting rockets everywhere while i snuck through the water. pulled off a nice shot to wipe out one guy. wish i had a longer record time set cause the lead up to the end was pretty crazy lots of chaos going on around me while i hid in a bush and picked ppl off

Especially in Solos, having a base, end game, gives you sooooo many advantages, over sneaking around. Height, visibility, and protection

Skip to the 5 minute mark, if you don't want to see my looting/building. Before the video starts, Nutella got taken out, and I killed the guy who killed him. My loot was trash, so I knew I needed to draw in, or ambush people to replace my gray weapons, and get something with range, hence the big target style base.

Drop into the main towns, and just focus on kills. Don't even worry about placing, just try to hit new kill count goals.

Also, watch dakotaz, on youtube. Follow his advice, and do what he does.

I find that its actually easier to find the off the beat locations for weapons before the storm and stay out of towns (20-30 people die within 2 minutes of the game start because everyone goes for the big towns). I found this tree on a hill next to a red bridge that has up to 3 gold chests (depending on game, 2 on the hill and one under the bridge) that not many people know about. Ive used it about 30 times, and only had people go for the area in 5-10 or so.

That said, the games not about kills. I've been top 5 with 1 or 2 kills. I've killed 4 in a solo game and died in the 20's. Games about surviving and picking your spots

So far, it's a fair game. Based on my experience so far, the crafting/building facet seems to be practically useless in most scenarios. It has its occasional utilities but it doesn't seem to change much to the game.

Then again, it might be my lack of experience.

I meant that as a way to get better at the combat and building aspect, not as a winning strat specifically. However, kills is lyfe. I usually have 6-11 kills for solo wins, just more fun to me to squash folk. .

I understand what you are saying now. Its different paths to the same ending, going for more kills does mean you have a better shot at better weapons others have collected. Stealthing to the end means your behind the 8ball when it comes to weapons and supplies, but you get more of a chance to get to the end and anything can happen at the end.

Base building seems pointless, game moves so fast. Unless you happen to directly in the middle, theres no point

when youre in top 15 base building helps alot to not get sneaked up on and shot from behind or get sniped by someone camping behind the tree and you not seeing them. Its definitly far from useless when youre in the end game.

I've watched ninja played last night, he's nasty. I think hes a ex halo pro. I dont understand how people are so good at aiming and/or sniping. I was always pretty decent at shooters but this games little different i guess.

@Podunks, is the scoped rifle also hitscan?

Lmao, nah, just giving him tips. It's hard to break out of the pubg sneak mindset, and embrace the targeted base approach.

Been watching Dakota or whatever, super helpful. His voice annoys me though

Building stairs is my favorite part of the game so far lol. BRB build a staircase over some kid, run up and shotty him to death.

Also crouching is wayyyyy too OP in this game.

It removes most of the CoF effect and makes getting hits ridiculously easy.

So far 1 of my PUBG crew has migrated, I'm trying to get the others to come to the dark side.

Congrats bro. How many kills did you end up with?

4, 3 at the end all around the mud lake. I sniped a dude going for a deploy, 4 people left after. 2 battled it out at a structure, I waited and finished the winner. Then as I was moving to the storm I start getting hit from the last dude, quickly grab a med kit off the fallen, run behind someones structure and start healing with just a sliver of life left. Hes throwing nades at me, but hes throwing them at the front and not hitting me. As he circles around the building I got him with a shotty. Then hit the dance button, haha

Yeah, I thought about that on one of my wins today, can't do anything as soon as they die. But, I used it on this guy that was going try hard in a fort, that I ended building up to and shotgunning.

I dance on the bodies if were both going for the box and I get it first. Tried to dance after a win today, couldn't. Maybe it was a glitch.

I also dance if they are trying to snipe me with assault rifles with no scope (i.e. they are shooting a bunch and missing me)
