it is paid Early access for single player only. The game mode battle royale drops tomorrow and it will be free. They have 2 different teams working on the single player and multiplayer, kind of like H1Z1.
once its out of early access, the whole game will be free as well. You only pay for early access if you cant wait to play it and want to support the developer.*4 crew*

just played a bit during work break, placed 3rd on the very first match with 7 kills, second match got to 13 with 4 kills.
Inventory is a bit clunky, cannot unload weapons to get ammo for what you currently use, gotta get used to building on-the-go.
but game has potential, can definitely have lots of fun, looking forward to playing Squads (duos isnt available yet).

on top of what I wrote above, Inventory is a bit clunky, cannot unload weapons to get ammo for what you currently use, gotta get used to building on-the-go. Weapon bloom takes a bit getting used to, sniper rifles aim while zoomed in cannot be adjusted and is a little too sensitive for my taste.
But game is fun, and hope they keep improving it.*4 crew*

Not to trash the game bro.. lol but..
http://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-batt...than-fortnite/
I agreed with this review.
I think they explained it fairly.
As a BR its too shallow, no cars, no grass, no hiding behind foliages, not many areas, not much loot, small world. Takes away the juicy details that make PUBG brilliant.
As a cell shaded style fort builder/rpg tower defense/casual shooter its held back by the BR element because there is not time or reason to do most of those things you can do.
it tries to do both things and does neither right.
The whole world feels small, the scope, the distances, its like a toy world.
So little things on the map, so many wide open spaces between spots.
Cant stand the monotonic beat on the party bus first of all.
The only little tiny thing I like is the loot boxes "aura" and finding them. Those Fable 3 looking treasure chests.
As a BR its not a competition to PUBG any more than H1Z1 is. It's not really even a similar game in any way.
It made me realize how special PUBG is the way its stylized.
Its most peoples first experience with the new era ARMA 3 mil-sim style realism and is a huge part of its success.
That gif in the review of the motorcycle landing on the guy perfectly encapsulates the richness of potential of that type of sim game engine and what makes PUBG the number 1 game on earth right now.
As for the tech issues part, like I said before the "glitches" in PUBG and the early access feel are a source of much fun and merriment to gamers. Its a part of the appeal. (not getting stuck in the warehouse wall tho LOL)
Its also the same as how people forgive Bethesda for having bugs because of the sheer boldness of the ultra rich game world they are trying to create.
Yeah its easy to make a game work when its small simple and tight.
You didn't get stuck in between a wall because there is no such realistic detail or crevice in that one.Last edited by KingSWRV; 09-27-2017 at 10:04 AM.

lol what bushes/grass?
there is no grass. Its just ground bro.
Whats the button to go prone?
Oh wait, you can't, you can only crouch.
This game is perfect because in PUBG you always like to
1. not use cars
2. not use prone in grass
boom this game has neither. perfect.
Btw I got to 3rd place my first try without really trying

It's like a quicker PUBG. Matches don't last 30 minutes usually and most of the time you'll die before 5 minutes. The building is pretty awesome. Fun game for sure. Doesn't replace PUBG but definitely exciting

exactly. And it isnt meant to replace PUBG, its just its own game of similar genre. On top of that, its literally in the very beginning stages of early access, it doesnt even have global chat, or duo queues, or stats, rankings, prizes etc.
If they put effort into it, it could be quite a fun game.*4 crew*
