If I am a narcissist, which my therapist says I'm not, then making threads about me and constantly talking about me is going to make me a narcissist.

I fall more under Histronic Personality Disorder than NPD. The difference is that Narcissists have no empathy.

In therapy all you do is talk about is "me" the person, and this forum is like an online journal for me to sort out my feelings and find patterns of emotion dysregulation.

I also do it as a way to relate to the person and show that I can understand what they are going through, and many people take me aside and tell me that is helpful to them and validates that they are not alone.

For example, one lady in Bible study talked about a problem at work. I related a similar situation and she stayed after in the parking lot and said that she felt like a ton of bricks were off of her shoulders, that she's not crazy and not the only one who experiences such treatment.

I admit I get a huge ego when I'm deep in the eating disorder but that's the whole pathology: to diet down to get male attention.

Narcisissists are usually the big-talking guy in the office who always turns a story around to "let me tell you about the time I flew a plane..."

Trump is a Narcissist and I'm not like him at all. I've dated Narcissists, they were extremely controlling and went on an on about Harvard this, this business trip, this acquisition, etc.

How is someone supposed to recover with this type of feedback?

I linked the Eating Disorder thread in the Nutrition section to this to show how difficult it is to recover when men expect you to be a certain size.

The bikini pic was AFTER the nutritionist bumped up my calories to a minimum of 1800 and more with exercise, as I was on 1400 calories and 120g of protein (1 lb for my lean body mass). So fuk off to those of you to be critical of something I did not do for fun. I didn't just go out and eat donuts.
