Between death by DOMS and a midweek grocery run, only managed a 20 min low impact ride and 10 min of core.

I also plan on lifting, going to K1Speed for a free GoKart race, and gorging myself at Extraordinary Desserts.

 Just trying to keep my head above water here. I have only lifted once this week, but stuck to my hockey and biking training. I also have been decent about my daily desk yoga and walking breaks. Water intake is up but not as consistent as I'd like (mostly because I was at a different site most of this week for meetings).

There is a hockey tourny in Vegas this week so half the roster was missing, so I got about 40 min of ice time this week. My ankle was hurting for no damn reason the whole game, and is still stiff this morning. I have a lot of muscle spasming and random aches going on and I don't know why.

Been busy but still lifting, biking, and playing hockey. Accepted a management position last week after much internal debate. It's a bit of a segway from my desired career path but I'm telling myself it's good experience (even if the raise is not commiserate with the extra work load...)
Anyway dont really feel like doing a full log so I'll just upload a few screen caps. As a general update, have a motorcycle trackday coming up and I'm bumping up a league in hockey in a few weeks. Retsting my FTP on the bike this week, I've been setting PRs all week so I expect a decent improvement.
Jk cant upload screen caps on mobile so no pic 4 uInstagram: @doctorv17

Hockey, 3 lines/20 min ice time (but we all agreed to short shifts, so I skated harD)
Tonight is busy but my plan is to lift, do some core work, go to a comedy show, then go to my first hockey game for the new league. Haven't had a chance to ride my new powerzones on the bike yet.Instagram: @doctorv17

Schedule's been a bit crowded, had a networking thing last night for work and I'm headed to the desert for the weekend for my trackday and to visit a friend in Palm Sprints, so I won't be at the gym, on the bike, or playing hockey. Ah well, I need the break from routine. Stress levels have been high and I've been having acne breakouts from stress and poor diet and hormones (blergh to acne at my age, how embarrassing). Sister needs a few days off.

*wave* Trackday was fun.... although we have a new bike that I hadn't gotten to ride at all so the first few sessions were just an adjustment period. That was Friday's workout, anyway. Saturday I hiked ~9 miles on top of a mountain and did some bouldering. The rest of the weekend was a bit of a mess though. Our truck was broken into and they made away with over $4,000 in track gear and electronics, as well as the bike key, house key, condo building key, and parking key fob. They must've duplicated our truck's key fob because they didn't break the window, so we are making an insurance claim but I'm nervous because of the cost. Plus, there tends to be a long lead on replacing items like custom leather race suits (they stole both mine and bf's), and my helmet was a limited edition that I probably can't replace at this late date (which is tragic, that was the first big thing I bought myself post-divorce and I freaking loved it).

30 min PZT ride, taught by a guest instructor who is a professional racer and 2x Olympian. It was a wee bit challenging, to say the least. Plan on lifting today and maybe throwing in 15-20 min of tabata.
Still dealing with the stolen property. Got confirmation that my helmet can not be replaced, as well as the first bit of runaround from the insurance company (they moved the claim from auto to home insurance policy, which has a higher deductible). Probably replacing my helmet out of pocket today as my second choice of helmet is also limited edition and worldwide estimate of <20 in stock in my size.Instagram: @doctorv17

Thursday
Hockey game was ****. They let too many people play in this league and people get greedy with ice time, so those of us who play properly (skate all out for 90-120 sec then change) get completely screwed out of ice time by people taking 5 min shifts. Additionally, a bunch of hacks that think they are "teaching" us "new" ladies how to play do this thing where they think they're playing down or helping out, but instead they are playing unpredictably and usually just plain wrong, so people like me who are slower skaters but understand positioning and play correctly, we end up way ahead of a pass or passing to the correct place but no one is there because apparently I was supposed to skate around 3 defenders and "take my shot"?? Also there's a handful of players that should be about 3 leagues up from this one that are complete puck hogs, one @$$ scored 6 goals last night and no one else on that team even had a chance to take a shot. I'm joining a league up tonight, in the hopes that I can get consistent play out of others which will actually allow me to improve and get back to where I used to be. #endrant
Friday AM
Finally replaced my belt that I lost a few months back so going to start trying heavier squats and dl's again (even though squating between two hockey games 24 hours apart was probably a dumb choice, "luckily" I only had about 12 min of skating yesterday so I should be fine... okay now really #endrant)
Squat 5x45 5x95 5x115 3x4x135
OHP 5x70 3x4x70 3x70
Cable Row 4x8x90
Incline Bench 4x8x75
Plan on doing core this evening in addition to another hockey game.
Non-workout wise.... work is stressful, I'm going to need to put in a bunch of OT in the next month to hit goals. And the **** of it is, my stupid quantitative brain is already telling me that all the extra pay I will be getting just pays my $1k deductible for the theft claim, so I don't even get to enjoy it. #@$#$#Instagram: @doctorv17

I don't know if I'm any help, but I'm here to commiserate. I had the same problem - my butt and thighs were too big for my bridesmaid dress. I was able to make it thorough the wedding by hiking the skirt up when I had to sit, walk, or do anything but stand there. After all that, I ripped the slit up the back at the reception getting out of a car! Good luck and hope it fits without the alterations!

Been a crazy week. Haven't lifted since 11/1. Been working lots of OT, and bf broke his leg at hockey on 11/2. Still been playing hockey and power-zone training, but might need to ease up on lifting until December when things calm down a bit at work. Alternatively, looking to pick up a squat rack and olympic set to stash in the condo gym so I can lift at home. Just hesitating because lots of unexpected expenses with the theft of our racing gear, a supplemental property tax bill, HOA dues, and holiday travel.

Did I complain about last week being crazy? Shame on me. Why I ever thought being a manager was a good idea is beyond me. I am a technical person, not a people person. I have all these stupid corporate ambitions and blah blah blah and this is a step stone and blah blah blah. Ugh. Oh and I also complained about finances being tight? Well cool. After that I dropped $2500 on my cat to have life saving surgery. Did I also mention that since my bf broke his leg he is (1) doing absolutely nothing around the house or to take care of a post-op cat to help me keep up and (2) requiring constant attention because man-cold syndrome? Oh that my mother randomly slipped into our phone convo last night (she called to complain she heard about my cat second hand) that my father broke his back in 3 places a few weeks ago? Like, really?
But hey, still playing hockey and power zone training. No lifting and no time (that's an quasi-excuse, I could lift in the mornings but I've been SO stressed that I've been sleeping 10+ hours and waking up exhausted).Instagram: @doctorv17

Hello if anyone still reads this.
It's been a rough month. That expensive surgery didn't fix the infection in my cat and I had to put him down right before Thanksgiving. He'd been with me for 13 years and it was the single hardest thing I've ever had to do and I'm still having a tough time. I've definitely taken to consuming my feelings in one way or another and haven't been lifting with any regularity, resulting in likely the worst body composition I've had in about 10 years, which feeds the perpetual cycle of self-hate.
I've still been spinning 3 times per week and playing hockey once per week, and I'm trying to recommit to lifting this week. I'm going to try to clean up the diet quite a bit immediately and commit to calorie counting after the holidays.
On a slightly happier note, I shaved my head on Saturday and I absolutely love it. It is so freeing and honestly, I've never felt so feminine. Weird.Instagram: @doctorv17
