The reason you are failing is because your main goal is to 'build muscles'. That should not be your main goal. Your primary goal should be to get fit and healthy. It's simple. You do not need to 'chat' with anyone. You simply need to do 30-45 minutes of cardiovascular activity everyday, eat four healthy meals consisting of less than 400 cals each, drink water throughout the day and stop eating snacks and drinking alcohol.
Done. Free advice. To succeed at doing what you love, you often must do many things you hate.

I'm a little confused as to why you would suggest a 1600 calorie diet to some one you know nothing about. It's much better to scale the deficit with the loss to prevent hunger paines. I weigh 175 pounds and eat between 3000-3500 calories a day.
If I wanted to lose weight I would not instantly consume half of what I normally do, I'd be extremely hungry.
Maybe OP does cardio, but over eats. Lots of people fall into that trap. Just because something is easy for you doesn't mean it has to be easy for some one else.
This is what I don't like about the fitness industry, so many people are willing to offer cut and dry, cookie cutter advice and it essentially sets people up for failure. Just because you can do something doesn't mean I can, he can or she can... and it doesn't make us "pussies" it just makes us different humans.Last edited by Nemphisk; 08-10-2017 at 06:30 AM.

Trying to avoid hunger while on a cut makes you a pussy? Lol ok bud. Part of being a personal trainer is making it easier for your clients. Not easy in the sense that they don't have to put in the work, but easier for them to adjust to a new lifestyle if they have been doing such and such for so long and are consequently overweight and unhealthy. Part of this business is personal relations. If your response to someone who says they're trying to avoid hunger pains is "boo ****ing who", then maybe you should be in another business. Your average clientele is not going to have the same mindset of people who have been around fitness and bodybuilding for a while.
And as for suggesting 4 meals a day of under 1600 calories, that advice is too bland. What if someone can't eat 4 meals a day because of time restrictions? What if they could only eat 2-3 times per day? What if someone needs more or less calories to lose weight? What if someone is hungrier in the morning but not in the evening? Or vise versa?
And where did you come up with number of minutes per day of cardiovascular activity? Cardio itself isn't what causes you to lose weight and lose fat. Yes it helps the process, but it's not the only factor. And if OP's goal is to build muscle there is nothing wrong with that. If you are a personal trainer your job isn't to judge what the OP's goal is it's to use your knowledge and experience to help him achieve what he or she wants.- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.
