    basic for the start

[QUOTE=BeastGrizzly;1509606651]any body have any tips for weightloss im currently at 224lbs and 5'8" and would like some tips.[/QUOTE

hii, according to what I understand you have no exepirence. that means, your BMI is 32.5 which is obesity.
There are several studies done on obese population using very low carb diets, ketogenic.
In those studies, at least the ones I read, they lost weight twice as fast with the low carb diet compare to the "conventional diet" (low fat diets)
(this is in obese population, and appearently they are insulin resistent) so, what I recommend is you start learning about the ketogenic diet, maybe it suits you well, if not switch to a diet you are easiily can stick with for a long period of time.
Trying losing weight only for the seek of losing weight, without deeply changing your lifestyle won't work for the long run, which is more important from the short one.
start working on your habits, food culture (dont eat junk and focus on eating real whole food, like fresh meats, vegtables, eggs, fish etc).
If you start with this, without counting calories for the start you won't have to think so much for losing weight, cut your carbohydrates intake to the minimum, grain free, only low caloric breads for the start. protein in your diet is essential for being satiated, which will make it easier for you being in caloric deficiency (don't drink protein powder like it's a meal, it's not!). Targeting on the quality of your food for the start, in my opinion will make it easier for you to lose the weight you so desperate to achieve, without thinking so much about being in calorie deficiency. the deficiency is what in the end will result the weight loss, eating whole with enough vitamins and so on will "fix" your matabolic rate faster which will help you burn fat faster.

    Thumbs up Plank for weightloss

The plank exercise is a great core-strengthening exercise that can also help with weight loss. While planking alone is not enough to lose weight, it can contribute to a weight loss program by burning calories and building muscle.

Here are some tips for using the plank exercise to support weight loss:

    1. Combine planking with cardio: While planking burns calories, it's not a high-intensity cardio workout. To maximize weight loss, combine planking with cardiovascular exercises like running, cycling, or swimming.

    2. Increase the intensity: To burn more calories during the plank, try incorporating variations like side planks, plank jacks, or plank-ups.

    3. Be consistent: Like any exercise routine, consistency is key. Try to incorporate planks into your daily exercise routine to see results.

    4. Maintain a healthy diet: Exercise alone won't lead to weight loss without a healthy diet. Make sure you're consuming a balanced diet with plenty of protein, healthy fats, and vegetables.

Remember that weight loss is a gradual process, and results may not be immediate. Be patient, stay consistent, and enjoy the journey towards a healthier you.

Yes, here are some tips for weight loss:

    1. Set realistic goals: Aim for gradual weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. Don't expect to lose a significant amount of weight overnight.

    2. Keep track of your food intake: Keeping a food diary or using a calorie tracking app can help you monitor your food intake and stay within your calorie goals.

    3. Focus on nutrient-dense foods: Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains into your diet. Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks.

    4. Exercise regularly: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week. Find activities that you enjoy, such as walking, jogging, or cycling.

    5. Drink plenty of water: Drinking water can help you feel full and prevent overeating. Aim for at least 8 cups of water per day.

    6. Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep can disrupt hormones that regulate appetite and metabolism, leading to weight gain. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

    7. Seek support: Weight loss can be challenging, and having a support system can make a significant difference. Consider joining a support group or working with a personal trainer or nutritionist.

Remember that sustainable weight loss is a journey, and it's essential to focus on making small, gradual changes to your diet and lifestyle that you can maintain long-term.

The same advice we'd give to anyone else. Track the calories of EVERYTHING you eat or drink. Reduce your calories until you're losing weight at a desired pace.
