    questions about keto diet

    do you have to fast while doing it

    if im not supposed to have sugar, how does my protein shake and protein bar play into that

    what is the max amount of carbs I should have at 160lb 5'7 38 yrs

    Carbs under 20, protein 100-120, rest all fat.Get keto strips from cvs/walgreens to make sure you are in ketosis. Good luck.

    how do you keep carbs so low, im trying to get my diet in order , but i dont understand how to keep carbs so low. I take a protein shake in the morning for breakfast and one after workout, they are 8 grams carb each, my protein bar has 5 grams carb, then other stuff has some carbs throughout the day. I do try to eliminate carbs as much as possible. I dont eat bread or rice or anything much other than meat and vegetable , milk, cheese.

    I did already read that whole article, thats why im trying to get my diet in order and dont know how you take a protein shake etc but not supposed to intake sugar.

    You're gonna have some sugar. Get more protein from food mane.

    Fasting i would not reccomend, you'd go insane.

    Pretty much meat and veggies is the basis of the diet

    Carbs under 20 is not realistic whatsoever, 50g might be a good target. Pretty much just get all carbs through veg, fruit etc, the higher fiber the better

    it doesnt...

    all of your carbs 20-30 should just come from vegetables...

    keto is oils, cheese, bacon, eggs, avocado, etc. if you hit 50 carbs, it aint keto. this is what it looks like






    why not just count cals and keep carbs at 100-120 so you can function?
