Hello and welcome to my log!!
For this run I will be logging my experiences with the ISatori product Bio-Gro and my first log in well over a year.
First off let me thank EO and ntroupe for the opportunity. This is my first product log of an ISatori product and my first exposure to Bio-Gro ... I am excited to see what it does for me over the next few weeks.
So about the product ...
The inside scoop ...
And a little about me....
I am a disabled (left arm amputee) 44 year old father of 4 great kids with an awesome wife. The last year has been a roller coaster of sorts with injuries and family issues but with a little work things have gotten better.
I am currently still in recover mode from a tri mall fracture of my right leg last July while playing with the kids at the local beach. Just last moth I received the all clear to go back to training though I have been for a bit already. What I am working on is setting a steady workout plan, over the past few months I have toying with cross-fit but the constant impact on my knees put an end to that and set me back into a more conventional bodybuilding type split frame of mind.
Where I am now ..
Body weight - 165#
Body fat - 22.2%
Bench 1mr - 110
Back Squat 1rm - 325
Deadlift 1rm - 325
My goals over the next few weeks is to loss a few pounds while maintaining strength at minimum if not gaining some muscle.

Thanks EO!
And thanks all for subbing in!!
So Thursday was my first workout since starting to load up on my Bio-Gro!
As I mentioned n my opener I've throwing around workout plans and leaning toward a familiar one to start Monday.
In the mean time I've just been winging it and this was part of an AMRAP max program I friend of mine is using that I tried out.
Chest & Bicep
DB Bench
65x4x4 75x4x2 8x4
DB Incline Bench
60x10
50xamrap EMOM until cant hit 3
15 10 10 10 8 8 8 7 7 7 6 5 4 3 3 2
Accessory Work
DB Bicep Curl 21s
15x21x3
Standing Cable Curls (incline Posture)
Rack Run w/ burnout
5x10 10x10 15x10 20x10 25x6 30x2 25x4 20x10 15x10 10x15 5x25
How I am dosing my Bio-Gro:
1st Dose 2 scoops in my Oatmeal mix with 1 1/2 scoops protein flavor of the day.
2nd Dose Intra workout with Bcaas Creatine and opps out of carbs.
My initial thoughts:
mixability - spot on. mixed quick and easy in my slightly drier side oats!
flavor - yup it is unflavored, sampled a bit before mixing in my protein .. notta
As I am sitting here posting I don't feel any DOMs and know I typically would after the volume type workout.

Nice couple days off but its back to work today.
And what better way to get back at but to legs!
I dug up one of my older splits, why? Cuz I know it works if I do my part.
Hamstring Curls (3x10-15)
warmup 40x15
70x20 80x16 90x12 100x12
Back Squats (4x10)
205x12 205x10 210x10 215x8
135x20
Leg Press (5x15)
180x15 180x15 180x15 180x15 180x15
Lunges (3x10 1 1/2 reps)
Bodyweight 3x10
Standing Calf Raises (3x15)
110x15 110x15 110x15
Seated Calf Raises (3x15)
70x15 45x15 45x15
I did this workout last week to feel it out ad only completed about 70% of it was wrecked, legs were sore just hours after.
Today I pushed my numbers as much as my rehabbing knees would let me and even now about 7 hours after completing am not "that sore".

With the wife's up coming work schedule I decided to go push as I'll have time to rest after pull before the next leg day, I hate doing squats after deads.
Incline Barbell on Smith (5x10)
warmup 35x15
65x12 70x12 75x8 75x6 75x7
Flat DB Press (5x10)
40x15 45x15 50x12 55x10 55x8
Lateral Raise (5xFail w/ partials)
20x20/20 20x20/20 20x20/20
Upright Rows on Smith (3x12)
35x15 40x12 40x12
Decline Skullcrusher (3x12)
20x15 25x12 25x12
Press down (3x6slow/6fast)
15x15 20x12 15x12
So far I have noticed an intra and post workout increase in recover.
I don't need crazy time between sets and still tonight my legs feel used but not abused.
Tomorrow and my good shoulder will be a good test.

Hectic holiday weekend so far!
I've added in an extra challenge of late, I have been volunteering at the our church school getting ready for summer vacation schools and for regular school end of August. I never realized all the work that has to be done lol.
I have always been good with daily dosages of bcaas but over the past two weeks I have seen I great reduction in recovery time between sets and in the DOMs, the difference is literally night and day, that 24 hour after workout doesn't go off everyday, its like perma snooze. I can see BioGro and creatine being essential daily tools.
I'm sure EO recognizes the the program I am using, I mean it is his template lol.
Let's not talk about diet right now, I do really well for like 4 days a week then it goes to heck in a hand basket. I could throw out a million excuses, pain, stress, time .. but they are just that excuses. I don't like what I see in the mirror but the motivation to avoid the crap just hasn't been there. Intensity in the gym, yup that's there at like 80%, if I could could get both in line .. it could be amazing.
I hit some pull Saturday morning after work, I'll get the workout posted up after church.Come follow my journey on IG @1armlifts

Happy 4th everyone ... How are you spending your day?
The wife and I did a little painting a our kid's school in prep for summer Bible school classes and now chilling out of the sun with some chicken on the grill!!!
I did crush another pull day yesterday morning, lifted at 630 AM for the first time in over a year and felt pretty good. Focused on volume over weight but plowed through with some bioGro recovery!Come follow my journey on IG @1armlifts

Would you say that the good pumps are from BIO-GRO? I don't really see BIO-GRO as a pump product. I have been getting some pretty good pumps as well, but I'm thinking I'm just getting good pumps, and don't think it's the BIO-GRO. It could be the BIO-GRO though!
Shrugs on standing calf raise are definitely interesting. I've never done those, and I'm actually a tad confused on how you could do them from 3 diff angles. I'll have to try it sometime.

I don't "think" the pump is related directly but surely indirectly. Moving and recovering faster between sets that blood stays in the muscles more .. that is from bio-gro IMO
Only way I can do shrugs and hit my left trap, basically its like a able bodied person would do say narrow grip shrugs on a bar the db shrugs to side the bhind the back. It may not replicate the moves 100% but forcing my shoulders into different positions feels like it hits a wider section of the trap.Come follow my journey on IG @1armlifts

I wouldnt say there was a stronger/bigger pump on biogro. I just felt swole, like tank tops fit differently over traps and over back (like over the scapula)

Yeah I ran into that same problem. I've been enjoying the log though man. Diet is definitely the hard part for me too. It's especially difficult at work. I haven't even been following it perfectly at home either. It's like if I put my mind to it I know I can, but I never do. I am trying to make healthier choices in general now though. I cheated on his diet with some real nasty stuff, and it made me feel horrible, because my body wasn't used to it.

Following up on some of the pump question. It's simple. The better your nutrition, the better the pump. Adequate carbs, water, sodium and great iSatori supps like BioGro and creatine will guarantee a terrific pump. Just make sure your form is tight
