Only the devs have talked about the McD's thing. But they have also acquired a digital payment tool company like a venmo I think recently so they atleast are proving they are trying to make their product concept legit.

All thats keeping me going right now is waiting for OMG to hit ~$10. Then I can walk down Soi Cowboy in Bangkok and know that 10 OMGs will get me any girl there + a generous tip. Just imagine going there with 5k+ OMG.

not srs... but a little srs since I've spent a good amount of time in Thailand. If 7-11 ever picked something like OMG up over there would be insanity

It means someone has a order to buy $1.7million worth of OMG if it lowers to a price of 0.00038 Bitcoin.

I am a strat holder but I am becoming less convinced by the minute.

being C# based may open the door to more developers but the marketing behind this particular feature of the protocol is overblown.

Smart contract coding is significantly different than that to all other, most developers that know the C# language won't be able to code smart contracts without significant training anyway (its not the 'easy' transition the marketing would lead people to believe).

On the other hand people that are already talented and proficient in coding smart contracts can pick it up in any other language (solidity) relatively quickly.

Lastly, many other platforms and protocols have or are making themselves compatible with traditional programming languages (NEM (C# based catapult), antshares and ETH in the future), they don't have a monopoly on this and they are wasting their first mover advantage by not securing any worthwhile corporate partnerships.

The main reason I'm in Strat is it's already POS, and designed with sidechains in mind. I'm OK if it tanks, but will continue to hold for now. I invest with the expectation that I'll lose all my money.

And I agree, I'm disappointed with the lack of momentum.

Great coin if you got in at ICO levels though, the biggest gainer by far.

I don't even bother staking my coins, are the returns worthwhile? are you staking it on a raspberry pi?

On the other hand people that are already talented and proficient in coding smart contracts can pick it up in any other language (solidity) relatively quickly.

Lastly, many other platforms and protocols have or are making themselves compatible with traditional programming languages (NEM (C# based catapult), antshares and ETH in the future), they don't have a monopoly on this and they are wasting their first mover advantage by not securing any worthwhile corporate partnerships.
I feel the market dynamic soon is about to change in which coins go up. The little by little the more mainstream gets involved, the concepts with true strong foundations and dev goals and core will start to rise to the top and there will be less gains by coins with 'just good concepts and promising white papers'.

Alot of the investment in the past has been in companies that talked the talk. Soon only the ones who walk the walk will have their time.

Crypto food for thought: Who do you leave your Private keys with in case you die?

You do realize that you could be hit by a bus tomorrow and die whilst holding significant money in Crypto and you're the only one with the prive keys, right? In that case, you'll be 6 feet under pushing up daisies whilst your money floats around Cryptospace for eternity making massive gains and nobody can access it.

I left a copy of my keys on a cold paper wallet in a secret place. Only my youngest brother knows about it.

Dont tell me you havent thought of this

Some guys are a getting emotionally attached to OMG in here. Always be objective.

Every coin has a good roadmap, plan, reasons for mooning, etc.. If you forget this, just look at coinmarketcap and tell me what you see. Omisego is place 38 right now.. surrounded by coins called maidsafecoin, gamecredits, etc... All of them crap coins with nothing but big promises or hype.

It gets you back to a rational mind if you look at the total list. Somewhere on the interwebs some other fora are discussing DGB, WAVES, QTUM, ... as the new 'lambo coin'. They all had their share of big out of the blue gains which strenghtened the believers to believe in even more of their own bull****.

I'll give it to you guys, Omisego has real product which is rare in cryptoworld. But this is a digital world and the internet is 99,99% filled with lies and bull****.

OMG also has the worst of the worst marketing ive ever seen. Dont go searching for glorified reasons as to why their marketing sucks, or why they are undervalued.. saying stuff like, 'Oh they must be so real that they dont even put effort in their marketing. To the moon boyos!' 'ETH went up 300fold so OMG will be 2*(4-30%)² : a trillion USD in 2 weeks!'

DISCONNECT from that emotional bs boyos! Only the very very lucky ones catch a ride from 5 dollar ETH to 300 dollar ETH. They either forgot about it when they bought at 5$ or were such extreme (dumb) believers that they held (it did bring them $$$ this time). Imagine how your emotions would be when riding it for 6 months like we have seen. In my case, I wouldve gotten in and out 200 times or more. Always thinking about the inevitable crash.

Anyways, this is my thinking. I always get in to crypto and put in a fairly close stop. I get stopped out A LOT, but it helps me sleep and keep gains. Made 800$ like this on OMG, but ive been out for the last few days now as everything is **** and everyone is bert staring eachother.

That is a piece of cake, smart contract multisig storage with activation conditional on one's death.

Sigs to the storage of private keys/wallets would be the appointed administrator and the will beneficiaries.

Similar to a standard will but with one more step and usage of a newer technology.

Personally loving the fall of ether and Omg. Have watched it fall continuously and believe it will right up until Aug 1. It's awesome seeing everyone buying btc and have altcoins and ether decrease even more. Hopefully once Aug 1 happens people will pull out of btc and put their coins back in the alts and ether for a quick little bump.Have watched the market about 400x a day just to be sure it's still going down and waiting to buy even more.Even woke up in the middle of the night just in case it didn't suddenly increase a lot. No reason for it to but it is crypto haha.

Compelling and riveting pep talk. OMG has been on the market for less than 2 weeks, give it some time to gain some traction. It's up 4x from lows of .30 cents. I agree, I don't understand their marketing which is pretty much zero at this point, but maybe they are not concerend about getting people to add value to their coin market cap like so many others. Luckily, I put it a few grand that I can afford to lose so I'll just let it ride without emotion. I like the ethics of their team, eventhough that might not get me to the moon. Unlike a company like EOS whom is having a ICO every fuking day for a year uncapped. What a joke. How the fuk does a website and whitepaper try to command a billion dollars..

And guys don't just buy into omg because of the misc hype. Look into the company and if you believe in the market, team, benefits and outlook then by all means buy in.
