today is day one of the Isatori Transformation challenge, 6 weeks to build a better me. You can find the thread here: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=174715311
posted pics on my profile. being hella strong is great but tired of looking like a DYEL who lives at mcdonalds. So today with help starts my counting macros, and training. I am open to all ideas and input. I weighed in today at 337, wow. goal by the end of week 6 is 320, which is reasonable. Second goal is to raw bench 405.....come on guys, none of you thought I was giving that up. If Arnold weighed 250 and could hit 525 I can do this. So let's go on this journey together and see what we can make happenhttps://youtu.be/RGHV67vZ0MM 435lb Bench SS 7/8/17

Great thing about having stuff at home is when the local gym closes at 1 pm on weekends i can still lift. Hit squats 300 5x5 time to move up in weight felt pretty good not easy but not overly hard

Thanks bro.
So today is day three and first big temptation (football) yesterday came and went. So today is a work day and after work plan on hitting back and biceps. gonna get dem juicy peaks bros (and gals) so get to work and find a pile of reese pb cups on my desk. I swear you can't ever watch what you eat in an office full of women, they bring treats. It was bad one year all the gals were dieting so they all starting bringing in chocolate for each other. Good thing I have protein shakes in my desk. I think my goals are very good but I wonder if I low balled the weight loss goal.https://youtu.be/RGHV67vZ0MM 435lb Bench SS 7/8/17

That's a crazy low ball... I'm 185lbs and I can easily cut down 10lbs or so in 6 weeks. I would think if you do it right you could probably get under 300lbs since you're a bigger guy with more to lose, it usually means you can go lower on macros without feeling like ****. Don't get sad though if your lifts drop a little bit... that's to be expected.

Still in! It's good to have an achievable goal though, so you can blow it out of the water How are you getting along with macro counting?

I love carbs so that's usually easy for me. As is fat LOL I like potatoes, sweet potatoes, pasta, quinoa, even bread. I also eat small red beans daily to help me get to my fiber goal. Fruit is good for carbs (and usually fiber) as well. I put olive oil or butter on most everything too so I'm never really lacking in fat

Nice! I think sweet potatoes have more fiber though. It's good to plan ahead too, and if you don't get sick of stuff, you can eat the same thing every day. I pretty much have the same breakfast, lunch and snacks all the time, and the only thing that really changes is dinner.
Agreed! But I trust KimmTeam Ogre Mascot

That could be extra carbs or protein, If you haven't been tracking you might have been low in something. Also, tracking usually inherently causes healthier eating which means better stuff, micronutrients, etc.
Usually, 25g is a good target. Did you read anything on how to track?Team Ogre Mascot

I've never sweated fiber. If you're eating wholesome food you should be getting it in just fine.
Last time I went for it was 265lbs but that was a few weeks/months ago when I was having trouble hitting 215 x 5 where now I'm at about 235 x 5 (well hope to be this week.... did 225 x 5, then 235 x 3 last week). Which is kind of funny since at what I was doing before I shouldn't have been able to do 265 by the calculators lolAE APE results thread: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144074851&p=867099761&viewfull=1#post867099761
