i didn't know golden gate bridge jumpers went into the water, i always thought they jumped onto land. i thought that water is like concrete **** was cliche, but it's effectively like hitting concrete apparently since you ****ing die.
makes me mad, we're so fragile and ****gy that we can't even hit water at 90mph without dying.

How's that dumb considering you can fall like 9 stories and have a 1 in 10 chance of surviving (thats the ld90)? There are records of people jumping (belly flop) far as **** into small little pools of water, 8booth jumps into water all the time from like 10 stories. Some divers dive from like 170 feet, at terminal velocity speeds and are fine.
That is not common sense that hitting water with a small surface area like your feet can be deadly.

OK... Well the Golden Gate Bridge is fukking 20 stories. And still most of the people that jump off of it survive the fall. They just drown because of injuries and cold water.
Also, have you ever seen the Golden Gate Bridge? did you think they just built a massive bridge over land for chits and giggles?Broke both legs and ankles crew.

I actually had a plan to jump off the Brooklyn bridge just for fun, I thought the people that died were just ****gy DYELS. But then after doing more research I realized its the same as falling into concrete from that height so I decided to put it off.
You can actually survive it, if you go feet first you'll just break your legs and if you are lucky you can swim into land.

I know about surface tension, and yes many die by hitting the land near the bridge or the concrete. Jets under pools are to break the tension, but again it's not common sense to know the amount it actually helps. that it can turn terminal velocity speeds into something that doesnt do chit and if lacking it makes 90mph deadly.

Drowning with broken feet is definitely not a fun way to die.
The thing is that at that speed you are going so fat that the water molecules can't move fast enough between your legs so you might as well have hit a solid object on impact. The same thing happens when you fire a gun from very close range, what you will see is that the bullet doesnt go very far, but if you fire it from far the bullet goes far because its slower and the water molecules have more time to move apart.
