below replacement level this season and it dropped his WAR below 100.
das not it mane, feels bad
Can Albert get some uh dat sauce and rake like Barry did in his late 30's? his decline is just making me sad and spoiling the nostalgia i have of watching him growing up. he's so irrelevant nowadays, we only hear him when he reaches a cumulative milestone number.
he should ask papi what he was on for the latter years of his career

i mean, he's a big part of why the team is so bad. that production from your DH, the guy whose only job is to hit, is very bad. It's why he's below replacement level. if he was an average catcher or shortstop defensively with those offensive numbers, he'd at least still be above replacement.
also hitting behind the best OBP guy and player in the world in Trout leaving lots of runs on the table
and theres still 4 years left on his contract after this oneLast edited by DreamerCut; 07-28-2017 at 03:17 PM.

The Angels are such a weak team though, i would say they are in the top 5 "bad teams" in all of baseball. I think Pujols is bad because the team sucks, it's not like he wasn't producing until this year (125 OPS+ and 30hr/100rbi). Right now i think he has completely given up. 4 or 5 straight years on a team that is not even close to contending is too much for someone in their mid-late 30's.
At least Ortiz, Bonds and A-rod were on contending teams in their final years.

Albert is still hitting bombs. I honestly think he breaks the record if he plays until age 44. His home run total would be much higher if he played in some other stadiums too.
