As you fight, an adrenaline gauge fills up, and when both attack buttons are pressed powerful attacks are unleashed
Left shoulder button is lock on
There are treasures to find in the depths of the water (sunken ships, long-forgotten ruins)
Stat element of customization is removed
New gear system where players can improve specific parts of your gear by crafting materials
Leveling system that has a level cap of 40
Bayek is not the only playable character in the game but that character is a secret
There are legendary items to loot in the game
You can add blocked arrows to your inventory
You can no longer one hit enemies that are more powerful than you with your hidden blade
Buttons for free-running up and down are removed
Puzzles are back but more challenging and less switches
Much more in depth ability graph with 3 paths (Seer, Warrior, Hunter)
There are gladiator battles in arenas

Bayek starts as a Medjay (sheriff type character) and is in his 30s.
He will become the founder of the Brotherhood (I don't know how this makes sense lore wise?)
Customization - you can choose the look you want without this affecting stats!!
Eagle vision is indeed through an eagle - called Senu
Memphis and Alexandria are some cities
Can equip two bows and two melee weapons at once. Also can use fists again.
Can fire multiple arrows at once (ON A ** CAMEL!)
Ptolemaic era
Mini map replaced for a navigation type one (like Skyrim and Horizon)
You will have to enhance your hidden blade (I think it says something along the lines of stealth kills not being a one hit kill anymore)
Free form combat, no counters, has an adrenaline thing that builds up as you fight
Horses and camels confirmed
The Crocodile is indeed a target!
Can dive underwater
Tomb raiding
They say nothing about the modern day
Anything is climbable including mountains and rocks
Can poison dead bodies, lure enemies, tame animals

I'm glad they're improving the combat. It was so pedestrian, just smash the attack button until everyone's dead.

Looks pretty cool. After Black Flag, I thought Egypt would have been a cool setting. Looking forward to raiding tombs filled with traps and chit.

Of course, I'll wait a few weeks and see if it's even any good. I only played 1/2 and Black Flag. Don't care about story.

At this point I couldn't care less about yet another chit AC game. Unless they completely rebuild the game from ground up for this one, it'll end being the same old repetitive experience with way too many "follow X" missions

Reading the article it sounds like they are changing a lot of the mechanics for the better. Plus, the game has been in development for over 3 years.

This could finally be the AC game we deserve but I'll be cautiously optimistic for now. Loved AC II and Black Flag but those are the only ones I ever completed. Have syndicate but its been backlogged forever now.

Sounds really good. But I remember thinking the same thing about basically every other Assassin's Creed game that was coming out after AC:Brotherhood. Very interested in the fact that they're optimizing it around Scorpio though, could be a great looking game on the PC.

Black Flag team was great, but they had some of the worst mission design ... the amount of tailing missions in black flag was god-awful ... including one with the fukkin ship! lmao ... But yeah, cautiously hyped, hopefully ubi have learned from this and realize what taking a break can do for a franchise excitement and fatigue.

Since the great pyramid is featured so heavily, I assume we'll be going somewhere in that direction. Memphis and Alexandria are pretty far from Cairo, aren't they?

Unity and Syndicate were decent games but the DLCs just plain sucked. The weapons and armor aren't end-game level and the extra missions, while fun, aren't worth the extra $20-30.

Wait until they're cheap.
