Sup brahs?

Thought i'd bump this chit and see what everyone is up to.

Not much to report myself. Presently visiting my folks in the states but I'm heading home (UK) today. Been out here for 2 weeks on a break, trying to relax. It's funny, every time I make this trip I look forward to just chilling out and doing fuk all, but after a week or two I'm reminded how fuked up my family is.

Anyone else have a controlling and emotionally unavailable father? This chit is legitimately the WORST way to parent, especially for boys. He stripped me of all PHYSICAL responsibility in my youth, i.e. any action or endeavour I needed to undertake, my old man would handle it for me; I never had to get my hands dirty. But my father can't regulate his emotions for chit, so I became responsible for handling his (and to a lesser extent, the entire family) emotional life.

Basically... I've been raised like a bish - couldn't do chit for myself but had to care for everyone's "feelz".

Fortunately getting away from my folks at 21 was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

If I ever have a son (which I think is highly unlikely considering my relationship history and age) he's gonna have to do every fukin' thing himself, but he'll get emotional support when he needs it.

yeah, it operates under the assumption that the girl must notice or find you interesting in the first place. if you are invisible to her, it doesn't even matter.

I think the issue is moreso that average guys don't pursue anything.

If an average guy were to pursue a better life (i.e. more hobbies, interests, fulfilling career, etc), then this would likely lend itself to meeting women.

Story time:

Flew back home two days ago, jet lagged to fuk, but the weather is glorious here so on Saturday I went into the city centre to get some air and food. I arrive in town and the place is chock-a-block with women wearing next to nothing.

Once I've finished up eating, I head back to my car and on the way I see this STUNNING girl. She's dressed to the nines with her legs out lookin' hot as hell, but what gave me pause for thought is how slowly she's walking. It's quite obvious she's shopping for attention, and I figured I might as well be the one to give it to her.

So, I approach, comment on how good she looks, and then segue into small talk. I discover that she's a grad student from Singapore and studying law here. She asks me what I do and some other chit, and at this point I say, "want to walk and talk?", and she's like "yea okay, I'm just heading home".
So we walk and talk and eventually get to the front of her house and stop. We talk for a little while longer before I start thinking that I need to finish up and make a move. I ask her for her name, she asks for mine, and then I shake her hand and keep keep a hold of it (which she's totally fine with). I ask her if she wants to go for a drink one evening, but what unfortunately follows is a lame excuse. She tells me she just split with her boyfriend a few days ago and she's not ready for dating yet. Note: I do think her excuse was legit, as she became quite raw and emotional when talking about the breakup; it also explains why she was dressed hot as fuk because she was feeling low.

I went home feeling confused and a bit dissapointed, but whatever, this chit is par for the course right?

Anyway... I'm typing this having processed the previous days events after a good nights sleep, and it's just hit me - instead of asking her for a drinks date, what would have happened if I invited myself into her house for a drink? High-risk I know, but having connected all the dots, I think she might've been open to a post breakup pick-me-up in the form of spontaneous sex, and I fuked up by putting myself forward as a "dating" option!?
It's complete conjecture, but holy chit I legit think it coulda' gone down had I actually gone for it. It just didn't fukin' occur to me because such an option is so GOD DAMN FAR REMOVED from what I perceive as the realm of possibility.

Wanted to get this down in writing so as to help me think outside the box should a similar situation occur in future.

You have to do enough to spark her interest a build attraction without going overboard and coming off needy/clingy. If she doesn't respond by upping her game when you pull back, then you have your answer and you move on.

But you legit have to have her hooked by the end of the first date, so the the time building up to the date, and the date itself is the most important time. After getting a number, I legit won't even ask a woman out on a first date until I've built up sexual attraction over phone and text. After that, it's about seeing of you are actually compatible, which again, you are not going to be the majority of the time.

Don't fall into the trap of women wanting to meet vs talking over text for a bit unless you are really good at building sexual attraction in person, on the fly.

Literally, the only thing you should be thinking about in the get to know you phase, is how you can show her that you are a viable sexual partner up until the point she is begging for you package.... I mean, assuming you don't want to die a virgin.
