Time to make the weights QUAKE!

    SCIVATION QUAKE 10.0

NON-STIM PREWORKOUT - LEMON DROP FLAVOR!

If you have ever tried Scivation Xtend you know that this company only delivers the best, and I am so pumped to use this pre-workout.
The 10 servings will be just perfect for a 10-day stim break to give the adrenal glands a break from the normal caffeine influx.

    Workout Split
For my workouts I am currently running a PUSH-LEGS-PULL split, and doing Wendler531 to begin my PUSH and LEGS workout, and the pull day is more just hypertrophy focused.

    Supplements
    - 2 scoops Scivation Quake Pre-workout (before)
    - 1 scoop BCAA's (intra)
    - Protein powder (as needed)
    - 5-10g of Creatine Mono (intra/post)
    - Fish oil
    - Multivitamin

    Current goals
I am currently eating around maintenance (166-167lbs) and just focusing on movement quality and increasing strength.
Gradually putting on a little weight, but not going on that dreamer bulk.

    QUAKE DAY ONE
Following a weekend away for Memorial Day I got back in the gym on Monday.
My WENDLER531 lift for the day was 165 for 5+ on the bench press.
I hit 165 for 9, which I was happy with.

    Followed up with,
    Seated DB Shoulder Press
    1-arm DB Bench Press
    Kettlebell Bottom-Up Press
    Tricep Complex
    Lateral Raises
    Rear Delt Rows/Face Pulls

The pump was excellent, my triceps were swelling after that complex.

    QUAKE DAY TWO
Today was the DAY OF THE DEADLIFT.
I pull sumo, and have just felt incredible lately.
My goal for WENDLER531 today was 275 for 5+ and I hit it for 15 reps #cardio

    Followed up with,
    Front squats
    Walking DB Lunges
    Seated Calf Raises
    Quad Ext/Ham Curls
    Cable Crunch/Hanging Leg Raises

Gonna crush a pull day tomorrow.
Will post more detailed thoughts on the preworkout here in the coming days, what questions do you all have??

    Another solid workout today.
2 scoops QUAKE on the drive to the gym.
16-20 ounces of water with a hit of lemon juice and few ice cubes seems perfect to me; could even do more water if you wanted.

Really felt good and enjoyed my pull workout.
    Pull-ups
    Barbell Rows
    Chin-ups
    Chest Supported Rows
    Assisted Pull-ups
    Bicep complex
    Face Pulls

Worked in the 10-12 rep range on most things with about 1 minute rest.

I am NOT a vascular person, BUT I had some solid veins popping out when I was curling today... feelsgoodman! (:

How'd everyone else's hump day workout go?

Sorry I have been absent for a couple days.

    QUAKE Updates
This pre-workout is dynamite within the non-stim category.
    Mixes without issues.
    Tastes excellent.
    Great pump stimulating pre-workout product!

Energy boost is decent despite the lack of caffeine.
I notice that I get in and get after my compounds, but lack a bit of drive on the accessory work that caffeine might usually compensate for. The pump I have been getting has been great though, and that seems to fuel me to keep going. The pump has me doing lots of supersets and dropsets!

    GYM Updates
    Legs are SOOORRRREEE today.
Had a great lower body workout yesterday,
    -High Bar Squats
    -Hex Bar Deads
    -Reverse Barbell Lunges
    -DB RDL's
    -Calf Raises
    -ABS

Today was another back attack, went pretty heavy on rows and got loads of pullups/chinups in, and finished up with the all important biceps work!

    LIFE Updates
Went and saw BAYWATCH with a buddy last night, and it was freaking hysterical!
This morning, fishing with the family, and not a darn bite!
Off to have a dinner with some more family tonight, and Wendler531 BENCH DAY TOMORROW!

    How's everyone else's weekend going?
    Training, or taking it off?

Yesterdays WENDLER531 Bench workout was a bit disappointing, I only got 175 for 5, but the rest of the workout was pretty good.

    Today KILLER SESSION.
Pulled 295 for 12 sumo, a big time PR for me.
    Followed it up with:
    Front Squats
    Walking DB Lunges
    Calf Raises
    Quad Ext/Ham Curls
    ABS and a walk.

Back at it tomorrow with a big time PUMP SESH for the back and bi's

Getting low on QUAKE, pretty easy to burn through 10 servings when you are lifting everyday lol.

Do you guys take QUAKE for the pump along with some caffeine or just as a stand alone product?

I've been taking stim free alone since I have stimmed Quake for when I need it. The stim free version is my preferred supplement for those days I feel super groggy and tired, but still need to get out and do my running workouts. It helps with motivating me to step out the door which is sometimes the hardest part for running.

    Nice workout man!

It helps with motivating me to step out the door which is sometimes the hardest part for running.

    Nice workout man!
    I agree.
Sometimes just sipping on something tasty, like QUAKE, mentally primes me to hit the gym!

I used just take stims a few days throughout the week, but now I just take a few weeks every couple months and eliminate them completely... then jump back on the stim train (:

    Great back workout yesterday.
Went a little heavier on rows, and mixed in lots of different grips for pull-ups.

I had a buddy from high school up there and we tooled out on biceps together at the end.
It's fun to break from the routine on little stuff like that and just chase a wicked pump.

Today was my hypertrophy push day.
Felt really good, and everything moved really well.

Shoulder pain is very minimal at this point and I even did some sets of overhead press with the barbell today... which was really nice!
Excited to get back to where I can push that movement!

    HAPPY HUMP DAY Y'ALL!

Made a huge addition to my home gym Wednesday night.
Purchased about 400# in Olympic plates, 1000# + in dumbbells, and a bunch of storage equipment.

So, my morning workout yesterday was unloading and pressure washing all that equipment.

Followed by a solid leg session in the afternoon:
    High bar squats
    Hex bar deads
Reverse barbell lunges (wrecked my glutes/hams!!)
    DB RDL's
    Calf raises and ABS.

Today, a much less rigorous morning watching my sister's band concert and posting some weights on Craigslist.
Time to gear up for a back attack!

    WHAT ARE EVERYONE'S WEEKEND PLANS?

    AND

WHAT QUESTIONS DO YOU HAVE FOR MY FINAL REVIEW??

Well, you seem to be deadset on jumping back on that stim train. How long have you been without stims at this point? Do you feel any better or worse? I personally don't like caffeine, even though I love the taste of quality coffee. I may take a small amount once a month or so. I used to take stimmed pre's all the time, and when I went stim free, I noticed I feel better in day to day life. I also don't think the large amount of stims in most of the pre's are very healthy long-term. There is a hump of a week or two, after I cut out stims, that I feel groggy and low energy.

    QUAKE FINAL REVIEW

    FLAVOR/TASTE
Overall, a very enjoyable lemon flavor.
It's not overwhelmingly sweet, but has a taste that reminded me of classic lemonade.
Very enjoyable, and refreshing during the summer; especially if I put it in the freezer and got a little slushie action going on.

    RATING: 9/10

    INGREDIENT PROFILE
This is where this product REALLY shines.
The dosage in the product is solid.
For example, very very few products include a clinically studied 6-8 grams of citrulline like this product does.
Not only does this product pack a solid list of ingredients, but they are dosed correctly; which makes all the difference.

    RATING: 10/10

    EFFECTIVENESS/EXPERIENCE
For a stim-free pre-workout this is without a doubt one of the best that I have ever used.
The flavor was enjoyable, it provided a good amount of energy, and a pump equal to any other product that I have tried.

    RATING: 9.5/10

THOUGHTS ON THE PRODUCT -- Q&A
I generally take about 200mg of caffeine pre-workout, but no other caffeine outside of that - I don't drink coffee, soda, etc.
The past 10 days using this product my caffeine intake has been 0mg.

I generally take about 10 days every 2-3 months in which I completely eliminate caffeine to let my body reset, and then I notice a much more potent effect when I re-introduce the caffeine stimulus.

Pros of no caffeine in my experience
If I have been using caffeine consistently over a long period of time than I do notice improved quality of sleep, and ease of getting to sleep when I go to bed. Additionally, giving the adrenals a break from caffeine influx may play a role in improved recovery and decreased stress, but I don't notice incredible acute effects.

Cons of no caffeine in my experience
During periods without caffeine my day-to-day function doesn't necessarily experience any negative impacts, but I do miss it prior to my workouts. I wouldn't say that I am dependent upon it, and I still get in a decent workout with caffeine, but notice less vitality and drive to pursue accessory work, etc. It is generally just hit the compounds and then be ready to get out of the gym.

Overall, I think cycling off caffeine is incredibly beneficial periodically, and if you don't feel you need it ever that's fine as well. For myself, I enjoy the extra boost that I feel in the gym when using caffeine, and find products like QUAKE to be a great way to stimulate a solid workout in lieu of caffeine.

If you are a stim junkie, or are looking to cut back on the caffeine, this is a great alternative to the typical products that get you amped out of your mind.

THANKS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY AND REVIEW THIS PRODUCT.
