Easy, pvp. I tried raiding for the first year or so I played and hated it. Depending on 39 other people so you can get gear to enjoy a game just sucked. I went to a pvp server, made new friends, formed a top-tier pvp guild and only raided enough to get things like reputation for some items and trinkets.
A million miles away - I don't.. feel.... anything.

I can't imagine playing wow without a guild; I bought legion and capped my level and ran heroics with a few of my old guildies from WOTLK but that's it. I could never play this game solo and I think that's why I hate it now because you don't need to have a guild to play, you can queue for practically everything from anywhere.

if you have a guild or group of friends you really enjoy playing with, WoW is fun. If youre gonna go at it solo, after a month or two youd probably burn out unless you join and raid in a guild.
The PvP sucks. Only fun part are the FFA pvp world quests, but with flying it kinda got a bit more boring.
As far as nighthold goes, I really enjoyed it. Star Augur was pretty fun to progress on. The guild killer aspect of it was probably due to the steep difficulty curve after 3/10M as the first 3 bosses felt like Heroic bosses, along with early on in the tier you'd need to have a decent artifact level (achieved through grinding) to meet dps requirements unless the group was insanely skilled.
Artifacts, class order campaigns and stuff were really well done and I like the added aesthetics of the classes.

yup my advice would be not to play wow unless you have time to roll with a guild.
The game is more soloable than ever these days, but the most gratification will be had from rated PvP or organized raiding/dugenons/achiev hunting. By rolling solo you get a watered down and frustrating experience.ฯฯัโโ ััฮฑฮฝัโัั ศผััฯ

Legion for the most part was going very well until last patch.. 7.2.. people are bored of broken shore.. and nighthold.. (not me personally)
Most of my guild are on hiatus or log on once a week to raid heroic. Hopefully the new raid (21st june) brings people back.. cause i dont have the will to find a new guild to raid (i am an officer also)
Anyway legion is mostly good..
Bad: titanforge system is RETARDED absolute bollocks some pleb can get a little lucky and get better gear then someone clearing mythic raids high mythic +
Legendary system.. shouldnt be random.. and should give a token so u can get the one u want.. it is much quicker to get one these days tho 1-2 week if u clear content
Mythic needing 20 is bad.. my guild we have maybe 12-13 very good players.. we cannot find 7 more similar on our server.. at a push we can maybe get 20.. but not 20 players good enough to do mythic

The problem with any of these difficulty adjustments is that they are usually still mechanically the same fights with a new "event" or two and the boss hits harder, more HP additional for each increase in difficulty. I'd rather just have harder dungeons that are just harder, trash you can't just aoE down, maybe a dungeon/raid boss that people actually can't do if they aren't good.
Good memories wiping in that TK heroic when it first came out, there was only heroic level, no standard level for it.
When wow started down the path that everyone can do everything in the game and everyone can get the phat loot i lost the desire to play; back in BC WOTLK etc, not everyone was cut out to raid and that was fine, not everyone was good at pvp and that was fine. Its not like there wasn't enough content for the filthy casuals to keep themselves busy.
oh and don't get me started on the ilvl bullchit that goes on now, I used to take people in greens into heroics as a healer if they were able to do it, now you can't pug chit without meeting their usually vastly overcompensated ilvl.
elitist raider checking out.

I'm in the damn field right now eating nasty ass MREs. I'll play hard af this weekend and will be 110 by the end. Than ill see how bad the grind is.
Still can't possibly imagine a grind worse than me trying to get epic 2 handed made Eartth warden for my druid back in BC.

don'tnworry it's not elitist at all. Because truth is...the ever-demanding casuals really have no clue what's best for them. When you graduate from casual and enter your first raid, it should be a feeling of excitement, not "it's about damn time they unlocked this LFR".
Blizzard gave an inch and crybaby subs took the mile. The game will never be great again - just good. The wait for WoW 2 continues.ฯฯัโโ ััฮฑฮฝัโัั ศผััฯ

I was having a great time in Legion (during the first month or two), but then I got involved with a competitive raiding guild and they demanded everyone do all dailies possible and to run every mythic dungeon weekly. It became too much for me to handle, I ended up quitting due to work and school.
About to graduate, will consider getting into an MMO again at some point, though I don't think I'll be going for WoW.

If you casually play wow till you clear HC then its ok. But if you're a mythic raider then RIP your time and soul. Saying that a lot of players think HC is hardcore and not casual.
Got a priest, DK, pally, druid, DH and rogue @110 and I cba playing anything but DK and Priest. priest is 910 and DK is 897. I join a m+6 for some random stuff on my priest and I don't get invites a lot because they want a hpally or druid. Such a bunch of spastics this community is.

I have a similar background, last time i played seriously was around spring 2009 during WoTLK, but quit due to burn-out and work/schedule. Picked up the game again July of last year (in anticipation of Legion), just casually this time though maybe 2-4 hours here and there, i mainly quest and do Bg's. I fukked around on a druid for a while but I recently switched over to a from-scratch warlock and been mostly playing that.
The PvP is not bad at all, of course i only play Affliction so i can't speak for the other specs, but i regularly get in the top 5 damage dealers on Bg charts. It's super easy to dish out damage if you just stand in the back of a group brawl and just tab DoT tab DoT tab DoT everything that moves lol
I gotta admit i feel SQUISHY as fuk when i do get focused tho, a warrior or demon hunter targets me and my tour is over instantly lol
By the way, they have really streamlined the leveling process, you can expect around 10-13 hours to level from 100 to 110 as a casual, assuming you just quest and don't do anything else. If you do side objectives etc you're looking at 8-9 hours or even less. Getting to 110 goes fairly smooth.
Those are my observations anyway, I think WoW has never been more casual-friendly and it's a great time to come back from a long multi-year hiatus. You won't get the same "epic" feeling that TBC and WoTLK provided, but the game is still fun. The "mini stories" regarding the artifact weapons are very well done.
Hope that helps.Last edited by DenverMiscer; 06-08-2017 at 04:30 PM.

Affliction seems to have a love/hate outlook with players. I'm a warrior main and pvp is wearing me thin. It's not fun chaining 4 dps rotations and barely denting the enemy team because of OP heals. I can get top damage but kills are what matter to me.
No to mention WoD was phucking horrible for pvp warriors, especially compared to MoP which was arguably their greatest period in the game. So I've been dealing with lackluster gameplay for 2 years.ฯฯัโโ ััฮฑฮฝัโัั ศผััฯ
