Yeah the contact info needs to be easier to spot imo, like someone else already mentioned. Also make the navigation easier by having your inventory sorted by type on a sidebar or header.

I like how you used a dark grey background. It is much easier on the eyes than bright white that everyone else uses. Nice pics too. Just needs some organizing.

I like how you used a dark grey background. It is much easier on the eyes than bright white that everyone else uses. Nice pics too. Just needs some organizing.

I agree. I have been trying to figure out how to add that as well as a way to search by attributes based on product categories. I'm going as fast as I can but there's so much information lol

I know. I am going to replace most of the pictures and resize them accordingly, as well as change the logo (plus the already mentioned changes). I am currently scraping my competitors sites for item data and will be uploading products likely in large quantities at a time (once my inventory lists are complete and shipping is set up correctly).

I actually think the niche could be fine. The less used niches are the ones to pursue. If he's selling things that people like to sell, there's too much competition.

Regarding the site, don't try to make it too fancy, it reflects a newer, less experienced company as odd as that sounds.

Major parts retailers seem to have sh!tty websites, and for some odd reason it makes them trustworthy. The goal here is to look experienced.

It's not bad like people say though, it just has a hint of "new business" feel to it.

Last, I realize it's just a popular product but you may remove the political affiliation from the 'product of the day' thing. Might actually ditch the "product of the day" thing entirely, most big distributors don't seem to have that.

Scrolling is typically a bad thing and everything needs to fit on the first page. Shrink the logo and include the introduction. Relocate the rest to links i.e. about us page, etc.

Also, the black type is just wrong. More than anything the contact information needs to stand out.

I appreciate your honest feedback. Respectfully, the customer I am pursuing is the Trump voter (likely). I am focusing on military and government contracts and many in the industry are of conservative values. Its a differentiater for me and (hopefully) I'll be partnering with Wounded Warrior Project as well. Time will tell, and I am open to removing it, but not for political reasons.

I agree, a good portion of your customers will be Trump voters. However you'll still have to consider it. There's a chance you'll turn away X% of business due to the political afiliation stickers.. but on the other hand you might make a fan out of some. Just something to consider, maybe it does actually help you out I can't tell.

Yeah, don't get too nerdy with the website, like I said function over form should apply for your niche. It's actually a marketing trick. Costco absolutely has the money to afford really nice shelves and entry ways to their warehouses.. BUT, they intentionally keep it cheap looking as a mind game to make their customers thing every spare penny they get goes into buying in bulk for cheap. It's a subconscious thing. Expensive sites = that company must make a lot of profit = their products must have too much margin on them. A wholesaler looking site = they don't have a lot of margin = I can get items for cheap.

I think you actually did great work but keep that marketing trick in mind when you develop your company.

I agree that less scrolling is better. Try a theme with the navigation menu on the left which brings you to a new page with parts there?

Also, if it's early enough, try changing your email address first section to customerservice@example.com or support@example.com instead of what looks like a first name. Go for the "big experienced company" feel.

Edit: My last tip, don't over prepare. Websites and marketing slicks are good and necessary, but execution of sales is key. Put your effort there. Don't let designing and planning become a subconscious procrastination tool for actually going out and selling product.

so what's the purpose of your site?

i skimmed through it and i still have no idea what you're trying to accomplish here.

are you trying to sell directly off your site? or is this more of a 'brochure' website where you use it to generate leads/prospects?
